Got here thirty minutes before they closed as we just finished a meal nearby but wanted some caffeine on the way home to Federal Way. The reviews were high and I always love an espresso spot that has monthly specials as I am a sucker for trying out themed or unique drinks. There was another car in front of us so we got to peek at their regular menu for a little bit but it was on their window and pretty small. As we arrived at the ordering spot, we got to see a bigger version of their menu and the May specials (they usually post it online but I don't see the May one). I got the creamy colada while my boyfriend got the Tres Leche Latte. The drinks were made to perfection and hit the spot.
The cashier/barista was very friendly, professional and patient with us as she knew it was our first time. She let us know to let her know if we have any questions or to let her know when we were ready as we also told her that we are pretty indecisive. They are delightful to interact with, and serve the best coffee and coffee drinks I've found. I'm very picky about my cappuccinos and mochas, and I'm regularly surprised how good they are at Plum Street. My wife likes the more complex drinks, and she raves about them every single time. The other day I got a tea... just a tea... and it was delicious. They have a full selection of milk types, and don't up-charge much (if at all, I can't recall) for non-dairy milks. Do yourself a favor and...
Read moreThe espresso is good and the employees are very friendly but unfortunately paying over $6 for a 12 oz americano (two shots of espresso with hot water) and a small cup of ice is unreasonable to me. I’m not sure if the heavy cream on the side was extra. I asked for small cup of ice and after payment was ran I saw that I was charged for a “water”. I think it would be helpful to tell customers about charging for extra things before running payment. I only needed a few ice cubes. After tip, this became a very expensive coffee run. There was only one car in front of us when we arrived and it was...
