I wanted to express my disappointment with Hobby Lobby’s online experience. I will NEVER shop at Hobby Lobby ever again, and I will tell as many people about the poor customer service I received.
I shopped on their website for fabric. I found some that I liked, and since shipping was a flat rate, I added 2 small elastic bundles for $1.99. After my card was charged, and after they had shipped the elastic, I got an email that said I won’t be receiving my fabric, I won’t have any other option for this purchase, but HEY, we didn’t charge you for the fabric. BUT I did have to pay full price for shipping that elastic that I could have picked up in the store. (It probably cost them $1 for shipping this little thing of elastic). I was never given the option of declining the rest of my purchase. They needed the sale that bad, apparently.
So I called customer service. I left a message the first time around after being on hold for 15 minutes. Of course, nobody ever called me back. Later in the afternoon I called, and was told no credit, coupon or refund for me! I asked to speak to a supervisor, and was given a voicemail. Guess what – I’m STILL WAITING for supervisor Tonya to call me back. I will be shocked if she does.
So, it may seem like a little thing to Hobby Lobby, but due to the lack of service and care (they could have created a life-long customer), I will get more than $7 worth out of telling everyone I know why I would never shop at Hobby...
Read moreI love looking at all of the different products at Hobby Lobby. The staff are always friendly and kind. The store is always really well maintained. I've never been there when things have been unorganized at all. The only two reasons why I gave the 4 instead of five stars are as follows: the high prices and the huge store. I always find things that I love, but I can rarely get them because even when on sale, they're marked up much higher than most of their local competitors. It's really unfortunate because I'd be able to frequent their store much more often (being a preschool teacher and all) if their prices were actually more reasonable. As for the size of this particular store, I find it great that they can fill it with so many products, but it can be overwhelming. I have been to this store numerous times, yet I've still never seen all that they have to offer. I never have enough time to make it from one side of the store to the other. If I dedicated an entire Saturday from open to close, I might be able to do it if I mostly skim through the products without stopping much...maybe. All in all, it's a great company that provides an expansive collection of art, crafting, decorating, and party materials. It's definitely worth coming back to, just make sure you keep to your budget and save up...
Read moreI called looking for paint. Got ahold of Carly (Carlie? Karlie?) over art department. She was so so SO helpful from A to Z when I was stressing looking for certain paint. She then waited for me to get there, (I live 45 min away) and took it upon herself to personally meet with me and point me to exactly what I was needing. Then spent the time to go through each individual item. (I bought a cart full of tiny paint tubes!) And I know she must have had a million other things to do... BUT she spent 1 on 1 time with me and that is soooooo sooooo appreciated!!!!!! I am a Hobby Lobby lifer thanks to this person's dedication to doing an amazing job and caring about her job and her customers to the ever most max extent possible! I have never met another in retail as dedicated!!! I will never forget it!!! Please promote this person to trainer? Store manager? Give a raise 🙌 🙏 something. She is absolutely worth every cent! She acted like Hobby Lobby wasn't "a job". It was her life and her baby and her world! That is a whole new level of dedication and Hobby Lobby is lucky to have such an employee! Thank you, thank you, thank you again!!!
