This Starbucks location is just okay when it's not crowded, but unfortunately, it really falls short during peak hours. I would say that giving it one star is pretty generous when it's packed, especially around 8 to 9 am on Fridays when all Starbucks locations tend to be quite busy.
I've had to give up on this store during peak times, and after today's experience, I don't think I'll be returning. Despite placing an app order, I still had to wait around 20 minutes before waiting an additional 15-20 minutes in the lobby before my order was ready. It's just too painful to squeeze through the crowds to get to the pickup area, and the design of the store seems to be a contributing factor.
This Starbucks location is larger than most urban locations and even has a drive-through, but the lobby and system don't work well when it's crowded. The chaos compounds quickly, and it's just not a good setup. The drink prep time is also slow, and it seems like they could benefit from having a "third" drink area that can float between drive-thru and lobby orders during peak times.
I think they should also train their baristas to call out names, as this would help alleviate some of the congestion and angst. Additionally, leaving large orders or boxes in the main lobby area during peak times is unsightly and makes the lobby even more chaotic. Maybe the cashier could help move the stock out of the lobby to clear up space.
It's been mentioned that this location was remodeled, but I think they should consider remodeling again and moving the pickup area to the other side of the store. Perhaps splitting it into two pickup areas, an "app pickup area" and an "in-store pickup area" to split the crowd, would be beneficial. Removing a few tables would also create a more orderly and open pickup area. While these changes may not completely alleviate the stress of waiting for pickup, it would certainly improve the setup and make it a more enjoyable experience...
Read moreThey wouldn't serve me...I made an order on the app, got the notification it was ready about 15 minutes later. Came into the store and my drink wasn't ready, no biggie. I wait about 20 minutes and I see customers in the drive thru get served immediately and people that came in after me have been served. I get in line to ask about my drinks and the lady working the cash register (older with Grey hair in a bob) was extremely rude to me. She made it clear that I was not to ask about my drinks and they would be ready when they got to it. She then walked away before I could ask any more questions. I waited another 25 minutes. 2 more waves of people came in and were served. Tons of people went through the drive thru. My coffee was no where to be seen and at this point it had been an hour since the order was made. There was a huge line again and I didn't want to deal with the rude lady again or another employee who seemed equally unhappy so I left... I guess I will have to do a charge back on my card or something to get back the $14 of coffee I paid for and never received. Don't think I will be back in because they wasted an hour of my life and previous to this incident my order has been...
Read moreI just recently moved here and this is the Starbucks on the way to work. I always order ahead and I generally order the same thing every day with the exception of it being hot or iced dependent on the weather. my coffee is usually ready by the time I get there which is great, but there have been a few occasions where my coffee doesn’t taste like it’s supposed to. I always get blonde espresso and I can tell when they don’t give me blonde espresso because my coffee tastes burnt. This has happened a few times and unfortunately for me it physically makes me sick. For some reason blonde espresso is just easier on my stomach which is why I go to Starbucks in the first place. Today I got my coffee and there was no flavor whatsoever. I’m usually rushing in the morning so I don’t have time to taste my coffee and let them know something is wrong and then wait for them to fix it. I tried to take my coffee to another Starbucks on my lunch break and all they would do was give me syrup to pour in a now room temperature coffee which didn’t help much. This is not acceptable for a company that charges so much for a drink! Do...
