The Lucky Lunchbox — Restaurant in Olympia

Just experienced one of the worst customer service and confrontational experiences at this sandwich shop. I was handed the wrong order and only realized 5 minutes later while driving away. I returned with the untouched order only to be chastised by the employees for not realizing sooner that we had been given the wrong bag. I asked to have the ordered remade but was told by the employee “I’ll think about it”. At this point, I was completely confused as to why I was at fault for their mixup; I politely asked why not, which the employee responded “Do you want to argue about it?”. In the end, I decided to walk away from the situation without getting the sandwiches remade. I was told we had been refunded for the original order, but it wasn’t about the money.

I’m sure the sandwiches are good but nothing about my experience warranted the accusatory and mean service I received for an overall innocent mixup handing over the wrong order. I’m posting this review because no one should treat their customers so poorly. I’d encourage others to go elsewhere or simply be wary of the service at this sandwich place. It’s not worth it, especially for overpriced...

The lady seemed shocked when I walked in. It's a TINY TINY TINY place. Literally enough room for one or two people to stand and wait while their food or being made. They have outdoor seating but no trash cans. I wish I knew this was a take out spot so I could have prepared better. But I don't think I'll be back.....

I ordered the turkey truffle, excited to try the homemade truffle red onion aïoli. The sandwich looks promising. Nice high stick of turkey. Thick tomato slices.... First bite was delicious! Great turkey sandwich. As I get about half way through I realize there's no homemade truffle red onion aioli. Unfortunately there is only regular mayonnaise. Quite disappointed with that. And honestly the whole experience. I wouldn't recommend this place... there's a Safeway up the street and I think my $12 for one basic sandwich could go a lot...

Stopped here on the road to the coast. Called in ahead to make it quicker. Friendly staff, good food. We opted to make our sandwiches into salads so I can't rate the sandwiches, but the salads were good. I opted to include 2 sides for an extra $2.50, but when I looked, my cold salad was missing. I thought it may have been included in my salad, but when I looked, it was just mayo. I'm sure it was just a innocent oversight. Kid sandwiches include a side and drink. It's located next to a coffee shop and produce market, so it's a good place to pick up extra stuff, like coffee and fruit. We'll definitely be back but I will double check my order...
