We loved it. Omaha really needed something like this, and it feels like something pulled from some trendy spot in Colorado or California. The amount of space this place has is wild - outdoor seating, indoor seating, you name it. You can bring your dog. And you’ll find great vibes and views no matter where you sit. On to the food: there’s an excellent range of choices on the menu, and no matter if you’re just wanting something snacky or looking for a more filling option, every dish we tried was an excellent entry. We ordered the brewer’s board to start. The pretzel bread was soft and just the right amount of salty, and the mustard (which I’m told is house made) was very tasty. I had the fried chicken sandwich, and my wife got the stir-fry noodle bowl with chicken. Both were incredibly flavorful and filling. I tried the “I went to school for this” sour beer and ordered one of the climbing kites and enjoyed both. If you’re looking for cocktails, be aware that due to some kind of liquor license issue, you can’t order anything with hard liquor yet. That being said, their selection of both mocktails and beers were seriously tasty.
There was only one eyebrow-raising part of the experience, but it wouldn’t keep me from coming back (the food was far too good to keep me away). Our server wouldn’t allow us to order one of the climbing kites (a THC drink) until I had completely finished my beer. I’m a thirsty guy and like to order my next drink so that it arrives as I’m finishing my current one. But he said the glass had to be empty first. It was odd, but the server explained that it was restaurant policy. There was nothing on the menu or anything posted about it (though I could have missed it), so my only critique is that if this is the case, maybe it should be more visible. I thought he was messing with me at first and was super confused when I realized he was serious. I’m guessing it’s to keep people from over-indulging? Anyhow, not a dealbreaker for me, and we will certainly...
Read moreYes, go and enjoy Big Grove Brewery! From the moment you walk in, the spacious, inviting atmosphere sets the tone, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming.
But let’s talk about the stars of the evening: the beer and food. I started with the mango wheat beer, which was fruity and refreshing, followed by the lighter SHWA lager - so delicate, smooth, and perfect for sipping.
For dinner, our table shared the Brewer’s Board, featuring a warm soft pretzel, flavorful sausage with kraut, and the best mustard and cheese sauce to pair it all with. My boyfriend ordered the steak frites and loved every bite, while I had the prime rib French dip sandwich, hands down the best I’ve ever had.
Even though we were full, the toffee cake dessert won us over - and we devoured it. Rich, warm, and indulgent, it was the perfect ending to the meal.
Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell they use quality ingredients and make it all in-house. Thank you for hosting us at your soft opening! Kelly was such a fun server & we appreciated her recommendations. We can’t wait to return, especially to enjoy the patio...
Read moreOur family went to the grand opening and we were spoiled with the best service, delicious food and refreshing beer. Our waiter Ryan was very friendly, knowledgeable and made sure we were always attended to and never forgotten. He had a great attention to detail with the menu, recommendations, and even marking the date on our to-go box. Never had that done before and those are just some of the small details that make the experience better than the rest. Various team members and even management, including the absolute gems Hannah and Mike, visited our table and made sure we had the best experience. We ordered the Reuben Bao Buns, Fried Chicken Candwich with fries, and Stir-Fry Noodle Bowl with shrimp. Everything was delicious, including the Hazy Double IPA they serve on tap. This isn't just "bar food". It's a full-service restaurant with exceptional food with amazing craft beer and a stellar ambience. We'll be...
