Went here because my girlfriend loves it. Ordered a medium pepperoni pizza. I asked the employee behind the counter about why my pizza looked as burnt as it did. He reassured me, after handling a slice without a glove, flipping it nearly upside down to show me the bottom of my slice of pizza. It wasn't as burnt as i thought it might be. He closed my pizza box and proceeded to check me along with my girlfriends 1 pint of spaghetti with 2 meatballs (irrelevant). He handled cash and gave change all without skipping a beat, stating they don't use provolone, thus explaining the "finish" of the pizza. He opens the box AGAIN, and picks up ANOTHER slice of pizza, explaining to me at this time that if I am unhappy with the condition of the pizza I should ask for a light bake next time. I retorted in a crass manner that I would feel a lot better if he quit handling my food with his bare hands. He apologized and told me he was just trying to show me the bottom of the pizza. Also my girlfriend ate and finished her pint of spaghetti and she told me she felt like water was added to the sauce. If the box didn't say La Casa she'd have never thought this was La Casa. She exclusively goes to the Leavenworth location and WE messed up coming to this location. A great company is now tarnished in my view. The manager was a complete slob.

Great customer service and I love spots that sell some gear. I came from Colorado and had to buy a T-shirt! The hamburger pizza was delicious and I asked for the different sides of sauces. Super unique taste and will definitely be always eating there when I visit Omaha for business and travel. Next I'm going to get anchovies on the pizza since side was only one piece haha. Can't wait to try their other options. I got to hear from one of the owners on the story of how they started and that's the reason I will continue to support their business. The sign outside has been in 2 movies and will continue to serve amazing pizza to millions where you can't buy anywhere else. Cheers Peppi! 🍕

La Casa Pizzeria, a Neapolitan gem since 1953, is a must-visit! Their custom pizzas are perfection—crispy, chewy crusts topped with fresh ingredients. The meatballs are juicy, bursting with flavor, and the chicken Parmesan is comfort food done right. Don’t skip the tiramisu—it’s creamy, dreamy, and divine! Pair your meal with a cold beer or glass of wine in their lively, bright atmosphere that feels welcoming, never stuffy. My family has been coming here since they opened and the quality has never waivered. This family-run spot blends tradition with heart, making every bite unforgettable. If you love authentic Italian with a vibrant vibe, La Casa is your new favorite!

We were really looking forward to trying this place—it’s near our home and has been on our list for a while. Unfortunately, our first visit was very disappointing.

The pizza tasted burnt, and the salad was drenched in dressing. After our food was brought out, no one checked on us. The only attentive service we received was from the person refilling our water and pre-bussing tables—they were prompt and polite.

When asked about our experience, we gave honest feedback. Instead of empathy or an attempt to make things right, we were told, “that’s just how our pizza is.” I mentioned that I’ve had grilled pizza elsewhere that didn’t taste burnt, but the concern was brushed off.

We were also told they were short-staffed and busy—while that may be true, it’s not something that should be passed off to the customer as an excuse for poor service.

We were genuinely excited to support a local spot, but this experience was underwhelming across the board. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Reply to Nicole:

Thank you for the response, Nicole. I do appreciate you taking the time to reply. That said, it honestly feels a bit too late. We brought up our concerns during the visit, and had they been acknowledged with any real empathy or effort, there likely wouldn’t have been a need to leave a review.

As someone who’s worked in the service industry, I understand things can get busy—but that’s also why I know how important it is to listen and respond in the moment. We were excited to try your restaurant for the first time and mentioned that to the staff. Unfortunately, there’s no second chance at a first impression, and this one fell short.

We’re not expecting anything in return, but as a business owner, this is something you should know. With so many places to choose from, the customer...

I love their pizza- an omaha staple. However, when throwing a graduation/elopement announcement/going away party, nothing went as planned. I specifically spoke with the organizer to explain that the food should not come out until AFTER the arrival of the guests of honor (myself & my husband) at 7:30, and I stated that I would pay for wine, beer, salad, and pizza but if guests wanted other drinks or food, they could order it on their own tab. The estimate was $400. When we arrived, the food had already been served and consumed with only half of one cold pizza remaining. Additionally, a guest apparently requested that there was an open bar and the restaurant accommodated without clearing with me. The guest said they’d pay for the tab, but the reason I did not want a lot of alcohol is because many of the other guests (myself included) do not drink and I did not want to have everyone else drinking around us. I find it very odd that the staff would not clear it with me.

The servers in the party room were incredibly rude- they rolled their eyes and had a consistent scowl on their faces. It was absolutely ridiculous- on top of all that, but the bill ended up being over three times the amount we had budgeted for. It was an incredibly disappointing event, unfortunately. The whole night was tainted which is especially unfortunate considering the many things we were celebrating.

La casa is delicious and I’ve been coming here my entire life. They’re good for going out to dinner but I will never recommend for events. This left a bitter taste in my mouth and I will not be able to enjoy it...

The staff wasn't engaging & we were considering a bottle of wine when our server initially came up to the table. We ordered waters while we considered our meals & wine. We then sat while 3 other tables were sat & had beverage service before our server returned for our order. By now we just wanted to order and eat so we could leave. I had made eye contact several times as the people around us were being served & I watched as our server rolled her eyes after another table in her section ordered waters. After delivering the waters the server came to get our order just as we were getting up to leave without ordering/eating, in hindsight we should've left. Nevertheless, out of loyalty to an establishment that has been serving one of the best pizzas in Omaha for generations we stayed. Unfortunately the service never did improve and surprisingly the food was less than okay, which I hadn't thought I'd ever say, but the entire staff must've been having a bad day. I can honestly say I was disappointed w the entire dining experience. So prior to leaving we decided to tip our sever 100% of the bill & as I handed her the payment I said no change needed, hope this will change your energy and that it's contagious because attitude can make or break you in this industry. Speaking from 35+ years in hospitality and food service, and at a time that most family owned businesses are locking their doors due to the overhead. Rally your troops La Casa pizzeria, competition is hungry, remind your loyal customers why they've been loyal for...
