I stayed at this hotel for an extended amount of time for work. The first several weeks there I did not have any issues. The biggest issues that began popping up had to do with having my room cleaned. It got to the point by the end of my time in this hotel that I had to go to the front desk, multiple times a week and beg to have my room cleaned by housekeeping. There is one point for my room was not cleaned for two weeks, and I had to change my own sheets and towel as I cannot get housekeeping to do this for me. The front desk repeatedly disregarded my request to have my room cleaned every week. Depending on who is working at the front desk, they would act like I was being unreasonable requesting to have my room cleaned more than once a week. Several times I was given the excuse of we had a lot of check outs today so we couldn’t get to your room, or you must have had your do not disturb sign on your door. That is why they skipped your room. This was never the case. There is even a time when I specifically asked for my room to be clean since it had not been cleaning over a week, the very next day I ran into housekeeping as they cleaned the room next to me and asked her if they’re gonna clean my room. She responded no so I went downstairs and the front desk and they said they would clean my room the following Monday, even though they specifically said they would clean it the day before. This overall made my experience very poor. Also, they are unprepared for breakfast on the weekends when it is busier. There are times where you will wait 15 or 20 minutes without there being any food available or silverware because they are so far behind. Also, there is a five week stretch where at least one of the only two washing machines in the hotel were broken, so this left one washing machine for the entire hotel for a five week period which caused a lot of waiting to do laundry. The hotel itself is nice in the room. It was very comfortable for a extended stay, however, housekeeping is the worst I have ever experienced. Front Desk help was very poor as well. I’m not recommending this hotel based on...
Read moreI chose this hotel because the Home2 back home in Portland is great! We just checked in and already I’m not impressed. There is a parking garage that we pulled into. When checking in we were told that parking in the garage cost $15 a day. I asked if there was anywhere else to park? We were told across the street, but no guarantee you won’t get towed? Again, our Home2 in Portland has a big secured fence parking lot with ticketed gate. You get your ticket validated at the front desk. NO CHARGING GUESTS FOR PARKING AT THE HOTEL!!!
Another disappointing situation was that the pool was closed. Another reason we chose this hotel was for that fact to spend time with our son there that we were visiting.
Walking down the hallway to our room we noticed condiment wrappers and debris all the way on the floor. As soon as stepped in the room the first thing I noticed was a big chip on the counter, the bathroom door lock didn’t work, and at least one of the USB Chargers didn’t work.
We went down one morning at 9:10am and there was no coffee. Thought okay, breakfast ended at 9am, but thought there might still be some. Bit went down the following morning at 7:30am, right in the middle of breakfast, and still no coffee. And they put a sign on it now.
We checked in on a Sunday, and since they do room services every other day we got our room serviced on Tuesday. 2 queen beds with 3 guest, and they only replaced our 3 towels with 2. We didn’t noticed it until we needed to shower the next morning. So we called down to the front and ask if we could get more brought up. The response was, “I’m the only one here, so you can come down and get them” it took me having to actually ask them “can’t someone bring them up?” (Any other staff member??) For the person to say, I can in about 5 minutes.
Tried the breakfast in the first day and the food was cold except for the make it yourself waffles. Never tried the breakfast again.
They left a reply on this review to contact them by phone or their support website, which it did. Still haven’t heard...
Read moreThis was by far the best hotel staff, I have ever experience. I traveled a good distance last minute with 2 teens and a toddler because my father was at the UNMC. I wanted to be as close to him as possible and when at the hospital I wanted to be as close to my kids as possible, just in case they needed me. || 1. I recieved a room at a UNMC rate which was a blessing. The staff was amazing. They were very helpful always with a smile. They would ask how my dad was doing and asked if we needed anything. || 2. When my kids had homework and we were having trouble with internet they took the time to help us. Even going out of their way to help.|| 3. We did have an issue with a room and a leaking pipe. Ruined my sons school book and papers. Which we understand things happen and they comped us a night. The next day one of the staff members asked how my father was doing and told me to take a few ice creams up to my kids on her. They were so excited and all the could talk about is how nice every one was. || 4. One day I had one child at the pool while the older 2 were doing homework downstairs. My son somehow left and manage to lock the backup door lock. Stopping anyone from getting in even with a key. My daughter asked the maintenance guys walking around to help and with a smile on there faces they did just that. Before and after this incident they were always smiling and saying hi when we passed them. || 5. Breakfast was also good. And rooms were clean but basic. || 6. Parking was also a bit tricky when we 1st arrived. I wish that was explained a bit more before we got there. ||||However the staff made a stressful situtation less stressful and I am so...
