China Buffet — Restaurant in Omaha

Keep your receipts and check your charges. This place is stealing from some of you. It really is a shame.

My 10 year old, LOVES this place. The food is good, it's clean, and we've never had any issues feeling unwell after.

After our last visit, we won't return and will discourage others from doing the same.

Food and service were as usual. My husband was with us and doesn't like their food, so he did not eat. We only come in for my son. They initially tried to charge us as if he had eaten, which is an easy mistake to make so I thought nothing of it.

It did, however, prompt me to check my bank account against the copy of my receipt.

Whoever closed our tab took it upon themselves to take an extra 12% on top of the 15% tip I HAD ALREADY LEFT. When I called the restaurant to confirm the charge, the manager told me that their system "holds a pre-authorized 20% tip" on top of charges and it should fall off once the charge is finalized. With the total I was originally charged, it would have equated to a "hold" of a 25% tip. She assured me this was just a discrepancy. Today I check my bank account and see what I expected. A charge for the base amount, no tip included. I've worked food service from top to bottom for 20 years.

Let's be honest with your guests, your employee was caught stealing. Instead of doing the correct thing and holding them accountable, you lied and attempted to cover it up. It's bad business. In times like these, the restaurant industry does not need places like this taking down the reputation further. You put the decent staff you have at risk when you cover for the bad...

Today I went to the West Omaha location. As I was sitting there I thought this location was smaller then the Bellevue location. But it was every bit as efficient as the original location. Food quality, service and atmosphere were all as good if not better. There were a few things I can remember that this location did not have on the buffet. That being said I was still able to over stuff myself with very good quality food. I arrived a little bit after 5 and I noticed most people were dining off the buffet and very few at the Mongolian grill. I also noticed the dining room was filled with families of all ages. So this food buffet, Mongolian grill and dessert bar appeals to all ages. I did notice a few people come in and fill to go containers, so this is also an option here. The person who took care of me at the table today was Gabby. I did use the restroom in between loading plates and it was clean and well stocked. Handicap parking places are available...

This is by far the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to the food was terrific the service was kind and considerate and on point when it came to making sure my cup never got empty the prices were average 10.99 for dinner buffet 2.99 for drinks with free to go cups the buffet itself was pretty extensive they had every bar filled unlike other Chinese buffets in Omaha the bar with The rolls and fries and what not had Lids on the top of them so they didn't get stale while they were sitting there which is the first time I've seen it but then again I am from Texas the place was pretty clean and they were keeping it clean as soon as the customer left they are on top of cleaning up after that customer instead of letting it sit there for minutes or tens of minutes.
