I was completely disappointed in this bar. I will never attempt to eat here or drink here again. The service was absolutely horrible and the staff is very rude and unprofessional. I asked for a manager and Karen said that he would be in, in a little while. I of course was there for a little while, cause the food and drink took forever. Chad did show up, and came to my table, introduced himself and asked what the issue was, but only to be just as rude and not favorable of crediting my food, which came out wrong and was horrible. I wasn't going to argue with someone who obviously has no experience in customer relations and or knows what truly is business etiquette. I did not pay for my food, I left and just paid enough to cover my drinks. It maybe wrong on my part, but I hope that it was a learning experience for Karen and Chad.
Now for everyone else to know, this was a few months ago. So I thought after talking to others that also have had bad experience there, I would investigate this business to see how it is still open. My investigation included finding out that Chad is not an owner or even a manager, he is simply just married to one of the owners. What I found out is that there is a married couple and two other girls that are sole owners of The Cove. I d advise if you have any issues with this place,I would try to contact one of them, there info is on the liquor license of Nebraska. I would be shocked if any of them know, how their employees act or treat customers. I would also be shocked if any of them know that he is acting as an owner. I would be completely disappointed if i found out that, a rude, inconsiderate want to be owner acted this way on my behalf.
I would steer as far away from this place as possible. I advise that the owners on the liquor license step up and be owners all four of you, if that isn't possible, I would say you would be better off selling this place, before you all have to file bankruptcy. I would say between the four of you that you can start acting like bar owners, step up to the plate and create an establishment that would be worth coming to.
The Cove needs to accommodate the needs and complaints of the customers and train the staff to be more respectful to your customers.
Sincerely a lost...
Read moreLast night was the first time iv ever had a problem at this bar. I am a woman with short hair, not that that should matter at all. I went to use the restroom and over the sound system I hear “Tory Tory” from the dj, who doubles as a bouncer apparently. In storms Tory into the bathroom “THERES A MAN IN HERE” yelling as she’s squatting down looking under the stall. I was oh so conveniently using the bathroom because that’s what you do in a bathroom. Sitting on the toilet well, because I can’t stand and pee. After I finished up and all while Tory kept yelling and other patrons were concerned and starting to get upset as well at this point, I opened the door came out and she CLEARLY saw I had breasts and was a woman. No apologies nothing. Tory left the bathroom and began to make her rounds laughing joking smiling with people telling them it’s just a woman that looks like a man. My sister in law was watching the whole thing unfold from outside the bathroom. Now as a female with short hair I often get mistaken for a man but iv never been put in such an awkward position. Very aggressive and with so much disrespect behind this interaction it really stung. As I came out of the bathroom completely embarrassed and just wanting to leave my fiance went up to the bar to address this situation and was ignored, then when my fiance finally got Tory’s attention she got super defensive and stated that we needed to understand where she was coming from. That it’s her job to be vigilant of things like this. Again no apology just acting like a bouncer.
If any of these people would have checked my ID they would have saw my picture with long hair or could even see the “F” on the ID. But they did not. They made a choice to assume.
I use to frequent this bar often and the Wednesday crew is always so welcoming to me. About a month ago I stopped in and the lovely bartender with blonde hair recognized me and came right up to me “I haven’t seen you in so long” THAT was such a good feeling. So to go here last night thinking this was a safe bar and my chances of something like this happening was slim to none then to have something like this happen is so disappointing.
Both the dj “pulse” I believe and Tory should’ve handled this situation way differently.....
Read moreIf you’re in Omaha and looking for a place with an incredible atmosphere, great food, and genuine hospitality, look no further than The Cove Bar and Grill. This place completely blew me away, especially when it comes to their chicken wings – hands down some of the best I’ve ever had! The wings were crispy, perfectly sauced, and just the right amount of spice. Every bite was a burst of flavor that had me craving more!
But what truly made this experience exceptional was the owner. He went out of his way to make sure my group felt welcome, checking in regularly and sharing stories about the place. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, and it really shows in both the food and the friendly atmosphere. It’s rare to find a spot where you feel like family, and The Cove truly nails it.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, The Cove Bar and Grill is a must-visit. Amazing wings, top-notch service, and a place that feels like home....
