Addy’s Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Omaha

I paid addys a visit before catching a movie the other night. We made sure to look up the happy hour specials beforehand so we can be prepared. Upon arrival, not one staff member acknowledged us ...Ok no worries because its a seat yourself at this time. We find a seat after observing the wall of drink specials..We saw a deal we liked and when the server finally made it over to us we knew exactly what we wanted. We were told that there were no drink specials or happy hour except for 5$ beer.. even though the wall and website stated differently. We quickly changed our orders to something off the regular drink menu and accepted the fact that the happy hour drinks were not advertised accurately. Our server drops off poorly made drinks and we rarely see her after that since it seems a group of college boys at the bar who were not ordering anything were more worthy of her time and attention Next we order the Nachos for the special that day..7$ but originally 14$. We were given a plate of chips covered {and I mean COVERED} in black olives and a sprinkle of discolored ground beef and queso. They tasted awful and were not even worth 5$ in my opinion. When we decided to order one more drink, we asked her for the drink menu back for the second time since she never brought it back the first time I asked. In total. we ordered one shot, one beer and one fishbowl which is not a fishbowl by the way... its just a round glass...not worth it being 12$ when fishbowls are usually way bigger. I basically paid for a big cup of juice. We spend about 33 dollars on three drinks... makes no sense for an addys! Our server knew we were going to a movie since we did make small talk with her at first and she still left us hanging for quite some time to sit and talk at the bar while we waited for our check. Needless to say, we missed the previews due to a moron...

HORRIBLE! At first we thought our visit was going to go as wonderful as it normally does but sadly we were so wrong. Not only did our server appear to forget about us several times, but straight up lied and then overcharged us. The wall says that Bowls and Bombs were BOGO... so before ordering, we confirmed with Noah, our server, that they were, in fact, BOGO and was informed yes twice. This was the case until we got the bill. In the photos you will see a drink with very little drank of it... that is how we left it. It was disgusting, and he didn't apologize or offer to get us something different. He just walked away and helped another table with their drinks. You will also see that my one soda was charged twice, and when I asked why... he informed me that because we got a refill on our ONE soda because our "Bowl" was disgusting, we had to be charged for another drink for a RE-FILL... Say what?!?! Wait, did you also see the $2.71 charge for using a card instead of cash?!?! We normally do pay cash and have used our card before and never received notice of this charge as normally our service is awesome.

To summarize the stay, we were charged full price for horrific drinks that we were lied to about them being BOGO and only finished one of them, charged for a re-fill on soda, charged to use our card along with being neglected by our server. Thankfully, there was a teenager boy who brought us our food each time, or we might never have received that.

I'm seriously considering not going back after this. I know $23 isn't a whole lot of money in the long run, but to lie and steal from customers, least of all repeat customers...

We have been patrons of this establishment for quite some time now. We eat out frequently and are happy to support local. I have to tell you, what we experienced on 5/20 at the Maple St location was a total disappointment. We took my dad and uncle out to eat (they were in town for the state track meet) and debated on where to go, but eventually decided upon Addys. We got there around 7:30 and there were many open tables with what appeared to be at least 3 servers. We sat down and were not even so much as acknowledged by any one of your staff. The server in our area proceeded to clean a table next to us and cash out a couple other tables all while not so much as saying hello, providing us with menus or anything. Finally after at least 20 minutes I went up to the server who was in the bar area and asked if we had a server in our area or if we should switch to her section since it appeared she was doing a good job with her section. She was nice and said she would get our server. Only then were we finally waited on. Needless to say, our out of town visitors were not impressed and I was disappointed. I understand finding good staff may be a challenge, but I also know of several other nearby establishments that we consistently receive excellent service. I am a patient patron whose children have worked in the service industry and so I rarely complain, but figured this instance deserved it. The worst part is that I first sent this in an email to the manager to give them the chance to respond and was completely...
