I will not be going back to this location. Yesterday, my husband and I stopped by this First Watch. We live 2 hours away south of York, but we come to FW every Sunday for brunch. We were served by Julia. A very nice and kind waitress. I ordered the Chickichanga since itās my absolute favorite dish to order. Unfortunately, what I got was not the usual dish I get. The sauce on this was VERY yellow. I got Juliaās attention and mentioned to her this one looked different from what I had been served before. She wasnāt sure so she went and got either a manager or supervisor young woman. They both came back to our table and the manager/or supervisor proceeded to ask what my issue with the dish was. I again explained this one looked very yellow and not what Iāve gotten before at the other locations Iāve been to. Mind you, the waitress attitude and demeanor had been very calm and polite the whole time she served us. But when the manager came up she seemed to have a defensive attitude. She then taunted me by asking me āWell, weāre have you been?ā When I told her about the other locations I had been to. I explained I had been to the other locations here in Omaha, and in Tennessee where Iām originally from. Franklin, TN to be exactā¦since she didnāt seem to believe me. I told her this just seemed liked it was straight up hollandaise sauce, and that I believed the sauce for the Chickichanga was mostly green. She said thatās verde sauce, and that they did use hollandaise sauce for this dish. I contacted First Watch on Instagram, and have since learned the Chickichanga is a mixture of hollandaise and pico de gallo. So, I was wrong about that. My main issue for posting this review is the way I felt treated and talked to by the manager. The fact she asked āWell, where have you been?ā telling her how this dish looked different from all the other times Iāve ordered it. It genuinely made me feel upset. Julia did bring the menu back and offer to get me another dish. I told her it was fine, and that I would eat the potatoes and avocado toast I also ordered. We waited for the check a while, but it wasnāt coming. Because of this I ended up walking out and my husband stayed to wait for the check a bit longer and paid. I am posting 3 photos: one of the dish I was served at this location (very yellow) itās covered in Cholula sauce before I realized the difference, the second is a photo of the same dish Iāve gotten before, and the third is a photo I found on the First Watch Facebook page. As you can see theyāre very different from what I got here. Even the dish here was made sloppily, and again, the color and texture of the sauce is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'd give First Watch on Maple SIX stars if I could! A friend and I visited this location Sunday, 4/29/18, between 10 am and 11:30 am. We started by ordering coffee, which was brought out in it's own carafe. This is super handy if you drink as much coffee as we do. We took our time ordering, mostly because we were catching up and didn't spend enough time looking at the menu. Our server was extremely patient and didn't make us feel rushed while we made up our minds. We eventually ordered Avocado Toast, Banana Granola Crunch Pancakes, and Biscuits & Gravy (all to share between the two of us). Within 15 minutes or so, our Avocado Toast was brought out. It was amazing. Like, really, REALLY good. The bread rocks. It's all very fresh. Our server checked on us a few more times and then realized the rest of the food hadn't hit the table yet. This really wasn't a big deal to us, because like I said, we were catching up and enjoying the coffee. Our server brought the rest of the food out about 30 minutes after we had gotten our toast, and let me tell you, the wait was so worth it. The pancakes were crunchy and sweet, and perfect with just a little bit of syrup. The gravy on the biscuits was thick and creamy, very savory. Yum. All of it. ANNND THEN...the greatest thing happened...the manager came to our table and she thanked us for dining with them. She proceeded to tell us that they took care of our bill because we shouldn't have had to wait so long. As if that wasn't kind enough, our server came back around with a round of Mimosas for the two of us. These folks know how to make repeat customers. I can assure you, we WILL be back. The food was incredible, but the service was what made us loyal. Stop by First Watch and get there early. They get busy, for good reason, and I promise,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen server took our beverage order, we pointed out that the table needed to be wiped. Server said the table had literally just been wiped and that the sticky feel was due to lacquer finish wearing off. We pointed out the wet spots on the table and server said these were probably left by the rag used to wipe the table. We questioned that wet spots were in the exact shape of the glassware used by the restaurant. Server wiped her hand across the table to remove the wet spots, still insisting that the table had been wiped. We asked for the table to be wiped again and server replied that she does not clean tables and we could move to another table. We instead chose to leave. Noted that the server and another customer were chuckling as we left. Not sure why we had to engage in a debate with the server about wiping the table; guess she felt obliged to defend the original wiping. Also not sure why she didn't just get the table rewiped; either by herself or someone else. Her comment suggested that wiping tables either beneath her or not in her job description. Guess she didn't need to earn another tip. Finally, have to question cleanliness of the facilities and the food served if a server thinks wiping her hand across the table to clean it...
