Coneflower Creamery - Millwork Commons — Restaurant in Omaha

Pathetic customer service. Stay away from this branch of coneflower creamery. We were a group of 2 families (party of 8: 4 adults + 4 kids) visiting this branch on 12/26/2023 at around 9:30 pm. There were 2 ladies, who did not have a clue on how to serve the customers and especially the one with glasses did not have a clue of what she was doing and multiple mistakes at every stage and with no sign of remorse. The one with glasses (i think, didn't catch her name, she was bit on the healthier side), was in a rush to fulfill the order for a 3-scooped medium, we chose the flavors for the first 2 scoops, and while we were contemplating the 3rd flavor, she misunderstood or was in a rush, put a wrong flavor of the 3rd scoop. When we pointed that we were yet to even select the 3rd scoop's flavor, she just trashed the whole ice cream and went and stood by the billing area, with no remorse or no recourse for an alternate measure. Now, coming back to the other lady, she was better in taking each of our orders, in total we ordered 4 medium ice creams, and in one of the ice creams, when we requested if they can give the 3rd scoop separately in a different cup (as it was for one of the small kids in the party), she said yes, but forgot to mention that it will be charged differently, which we came to know only in the billing. And when we pointed that if we were made aware of this when the ice cream was served, we would have ordered differently and kept it simple by going with 4 medium ice-creams instead. But the lady was unapologetic and never did she acknowledge that it was a miss on her part to not mention that detail of how that will be charged differently when we had made the initial request to give that one scoop in a separate cup. And kept saying that "unfortunately she cannot do anything now", which became her template response which she repeated over and over when we tried to explain the situation. And now to the final tragedy of errors, we came to billing, where it was the person again with the glasses who did not have a clue of what was actually served by the other person and put the order as 4 medium + 1 small + 1 single scoop, when we had ordered only 3 medium. The person who served the ice cream had now vanished to the back. When we pointed that there was an error in her billing, she kept going back to the "single scoop in a separate cup" issue. If she had only listened to what we were actually saying, it could have all been resolved quickly.

ALL IN ALL IT WAS A GOOD EVENING RUINED FOR TWO FAMILIES, ALL THANKS TO THE INEPTITUDE AND RUDENESS OF THE TWO LADIES SERVING THE CUSTOMERS. NEVER AGAIN TO THIS BRANCH OF CONEFLOWER...

Let me tell you, this place is definitely worth the hype.

My husband and I came here at almost closing time on a Sunday and there were still tons of people in the place with 0 places to sit. Plus there were still tons of people coming in behind us! The only downfall is the place is actually pretty small on the inside so don't come expecting to sit is all. I can't imagine how flippin busy this place is when the weather warms up! Holy moly, I couldn't believe how packed it was still when we showed up. It was maybe a half an hour, not even, until close. I definitely believe the other reviews when they say "lines out of the door" .. but again you have to remember, the counter is RIGHT there when you walk in. I can totally see "lines out of the door" when it gets super busy. The reason I bring this up is because I have read other review saying they left when they saw lines out of the door and then left a one star because of it without even going in. I think it's crappy that people are impatient and then leave a bad review. "Lines out of the door" means the place is obviously doing something right! They're busy! It's just small on the inside, that's all. Don't let that discourage you from coming here is what I'm getting at. Their ice cream is astronomical. It doesn't taste freezer burn or like it's been sitting. It's homemade. Some of the best Ice Cream I've had. Their "Red Rose" literally tastes like a Rose! It blew my mind! It was so weird and so good at the same time! 😂

I ended up with a Banana flavored ice cream and it was SO good I can't even begin. Their scoops are generous. The prices weren't too bad. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors! This place is a gem! Definitely...
