I have a short list of reviews I’ve left because I’m not quick to come to the internet to complain, but tonight we ordered from this Dickey’s location and we order from Dickey’s a lot (many locations) and their online ordering kept saying error when I tried to check out. So, I tried another card thinking my card was the issue. Well, the charge came out of my account twice for $86 dollars but still getting the error message and no email of confirmed order. So, I call the store. The people working were very sweet and helpful and said they’d contact the owner Joe and get back to me. They do that and basically the owner says there is an issue with the whole website and it’s down, he can’t get into it and that I’ll have to wait for two days for my card reversals and if I don’t see the reversals to call back. I’m like okay, so do I still get my food? I can show my charge that clearly says Dickey’s and the address of the location? The shift leads says she has to ask and call me back again. After speaking to Joe, she calls me back (we’ve already ordered from somewhere else at this point because we are hungry and need to feed our kids) and says we can come down prove we paid for the order (twice) and wait for them to make our family pack. I inform them we have already ordered from somewhere else and was now just frustrated that this owner hasn’t called me directly, like I asked him to and like his own shift lead we wanted him to, she was trying to be the in between of what he says and you could tell she was doing her best but I was like I’d like to talk to him. I don’t seek free food but in a situation like this and working in the food service for a long time; this is a situation that you say something is going on on our end and I’m going to make it right for you. Instead he blames corporate, said he had no control over the website and can’t even ensure a refund, instead just says if you don’t see the transactions reversed call us again. Thankfully we can afford to have two hundred bucks hanging in the bank somewhere but this kills me for people who maybe can’t. You go to buy your family a meal and because their system is having an issue you pay double what you possibly budgeted and then are just told, sorry. Check back in a couple of days and also no food or offers for a free meal for a later use or anything. Also, when a customer is asking to speak to you about the issue and you continue to ignore the requests…just unprofessional and agitating to be honest. Our once in a while ordering out has now cost us 300 bucks since we had to order from somewhere else after this whole situation. When I asked if I should report it as fraud to get the refund and if they don’t know what’s going on with the website maybe that’s a good idea, he said it would hurt him and not to do that. I got there & the girl who works there was sitting at one of the tables eating. She did greet me, but nonetheless was still eating in the main area. I told her about the Facebook post & she asked if I had the email? Twice actually. No, I had the screenshot of the Facebook post that only said to mention it. She asked the guy cooking & he told her to honor it & how to ring it up.
I told them I'm new in town & looking for a good local BBQ place & that I'll be working nearby soon, so if it's really good then I'll definitely be back. She asked which place, a few times. If I wanted to tell her the name, don't you think I would've rather than saying just a little place down the road. She said within earshot of the guy cooking that she was asking as she wanted to find a better paying full-time job. Ummm.. huh? You're @ work talking about this??? I gave her a few leads & then asked myself why???
I got back into my car & realized I was probably overcharged.. sure enough, $3.50 before tax. Didn't want to deal with that girl again, so didn't go back in to correct her.
The sandwich was really good! Wasn't in the mood for the sauce, but the pulled pork was super tender. Love the onions & pickles on top. :-)
Overall.. not happy & probably won't be back. I don't care how good the food is, the customer service experience really needs...

The set up was very unique where you go to place a order they have a ac over it and all it did was drip water all over me and near where the food is being prepared, was also very hot in there and they offer free ice cream which it wasn't ice cream it was liquid. The loaded potato they have was absolutely disgusting. No idea what the flavor was I ate but right in the trash it went. I have ordered from here before and it was better that what I just experienced. I will look for another place to order from in the future as I don't not like to waste money on ok food. Also the soda fountain was absolutely nasty and the coke was trash, it didn't dispense correctly at all. It was a long wait for the little order I got. Not to mention how many times I had to repeat my order. The girl who prepared my food did a awesome job the rest of the staff seemed like it was a chore to do any form of work.
