Yummy food! Disappointing that they have succumbed to the "PRE-tipping" culture. At the cashier of this fast food restaurant you will be prompted to leave a tip before receiving your order.
I did not tip the cashier, as I do not believe in the PRE-tipping culture that has been growing in popularity. Some advocates feel as though it is akin to saying"thank you"--to that I say: when did we become so callous that the gestured pleasantry of a simple verbal thank-you was deemed insufficient for interpersonal exchanges? Putting the shoe on the other foot: do we no longer have to say please and thank you, so long as money is changing hands? I simply cannot support that culture.
It was also advertised that free bread sticks would be distributed to the diners--as I'm sure many Fazoli's fans look forward to. Interestingly, despite eating there for 20-30 minutes, bread sticks were not presented during our visit as usual when a worker walks around checking on guests.
I probably shouldn't speculate about the relationship between pre-tipping and getting bread sticks. Perhaps there was some confusion about distributing them during the "COVID" era--some sanitary reasons. Perhaps I could have simply asked, but the initial impression from the cashier wasn't very clear on this point.
Cheapskate, you say? Ha, no.... Instead, on our way out, we purchased a half dozen to-go. We still love those bread sticks. They ended up being more expensive than tipping, but I don't care. I do not PRE-tip. I guess the...
Read moreI ordered a chicken carbonara w/ alfredo sauce and my friend ordered a chicken fettuccine alfredo. The meals came with 1 side each of our choice, the soup that I ordered was some sort of chicken and dumpling soup, and my friend had the pizza.
After we ordered our meals we went to grab our drinks and silverware. The lemonade nozzle was covered with so much syrup that the lemonade could barely dispense, who knows what type of bacteria was cultivating in there. The vast majority of the silverware was caked with old dried food, and it was definitely difficult to find one clean utensil. Most of the surfaces were sticky and the overall atmosphere reminded me of an overpriced Chuck E. Cheese.
The waitress eventually brought the food out and alerted me that the staff was in the kitchen debating on whether or not to serve me the soup because it looked "questionable" . Thankfully she gave me the choice on if I wanted to take a risk on the soup or substitute it for something else, because the staff in the kitchen wanted to consult with management on whether or not to serve it.
Overall the pizza was atrocious, the soup was a fail, & both pastas were unappetizing and flavorless. The overall cleanliness of the establishment was highly questionable, especially the restrooms, and this location had no redeemable qualities.
I would not recommend this location, and we will not...
Read moreI just moved to Omaha not even two weeks ago. My hometown used to have a Fazoli’s but a couple years ago it closed due to building problems, so I decided to go to Fazoli’s since I haven’t had it in forever. I go through the drive through and I order, I said I wanted a chicken alfredo MEAL with a mr.pibb, I thought she said what size so I said um medium and she said no I said what side so I said a side salad with ranch. She said anything else? I said well that mr.pibb and I want a double sliced pepperoni pizza, she said anything else? I said and a half a dozen breadsticks and that’s it. She said my total and I even was surprised how cheap it was for all that but I’m like whatever, I get to the window and they only had the chicken alfredo on the ticket and the side salad, I said and I also got a double sliced pizza, and she said that’s not on there, I said I ordered it so. So she put that down and I’m like also a half a dozen breadsticks, which wasn’t on there either and she had to put it on there, got all my food, turns out they didn’t even had my drink on there cause I never got a drink, not gonna pay for a third ticket so I just left. I know now this is NOT the location to go to in Omaha. Rediculous. Grand Island’s location was so much better when it was...
