1/5 stars - Disappointing Experience with Godfather's Pizza on North 30th
I didnt want to so this as north 30th has been my childhood pizza home, but I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Godfather's Pizza on North 30th. As a lifelong customer, I've always loved their pizza, but their delivery service is non-existent. When I call to order, im always told they had no drivers available, it dont matter if i call on the phone or order online i can call at 4pm 5 6 7 doesnt matter. Mayber they should make this location only dine in and carryout. What's even more frustrating is that they suggested I order through Doordash or another app, which would cost me more.
Whenever you call you will be placed on hold for 5 minutes or more. The long hold times and lack of concern from the corporate office are unacceptable. I reached out to corporate, hoping for a resolution, but they sent the store manager who acted clueless about whats the issue and responded as if i have requested for her to contact me. I wanted to be contacted from corporate because north 30th already let me know you call doordash or dont eat here. The response was dismissive. It's clear that they don't value their customers in North Omaha.
In contrast, the Saddle Creek location has always provided excellent service, including delivery. So I called them because they have delivered to me in north omaha before but I lived at a different location, unfortunately they couldn't deliver to me at my current address. It's unfortunate that the North 30th location can't match this standard. You have customers that want to spend $60 to $100 or more on your pizza but everytime they try to order using delivery they are turned away. There are a lot of people who have transportation issues and are willing to pay delivery especially if that's what you have the store listed as.
I've since found alternative pizza options in the area that offer better service, including Domino's, which was happy to deliver to me no holds no problems. Unfortunately, Godfather's Pizza on North 30th will no longer be an option for me, my assoicates, and my family per their request. I just find it sad that in north omaha it's always a problem to get services that suppose to be provided. North 30th is not a delivery restaurant and needs to be changed to eat in or carry out only. Also being that your competing with other restaurants why woukd you refer your customer to a different platform like doordash and etc... with other competitors on it?????? Because if I'm going yo pay doordash delivery fee it's not gonna be on Godfathers in my area that's suppose to provide delivery it's gonna be at a restaurant that doesnt provide delivery. Lastly if you order on doordash the pizza comes from saddlecreek not north 30th, who I was told don't deliver in my area, but of I order thru doordash saddleCreek is the location making my pizza. Doesn't make sense and normal people are gonna take that as they don't want my money go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe management at this store is absolutely HORRIBLE! Jennifer is extremely rude and will flat out lie to your face. Travis the General Manger is even worse, RUDE and has zero people skills. Their store fraudulently hit my credit card for $3 more than the total on my receipt. Travis suggested that I drive all the way from Elkhorn, NE back to his store on North 30th, with my bank statement showing they overcharged me, for him to give me a $3 credit and a free pizza. He didn't even apologize at all for the overcharge happening. After the horrible initial experience I had in his store with his so-called manager Jennifer and then they steal extra money from me; Travis had the audacity to get angry when I didn't want his free pizza or the $3 credit. I wanted the entire order credited for the hassle and inconvenience I'm experiencing in dealing with all this. To show you how they lie he had the nerve to tell me this was all he could do. REALLY Travis? As a GENERAL MANAGER of the store thatās all you can do? No one is stupid enough to believe that lie. He obviously has someone doing a side hustle scam in his store and he's not concerned about how the theft occurred or how often it's occurring. Maybe he is in on the theft scam. I bet if I was white he would've offered me a full refund and a free pizza. Wake up people and boycott this store. Order Pizza Hut or something. Just donāt eat at this Godfatherās. I realize this is the only pizza spot in that area since the Ames street location closed but we deserve better treatment and the same respect any other customer of the majority persuasion would receive if the theft/overcharge to their credit card had occurred. General Managers who raise their voice at a customer who DID NOT raise their voice with them should be FIRED! Godfather's needs to do a better job at hiring General Managers because Travis is the absolute worse. Heās probably related to someone in the organization because thatās the only way I could see someone hiring a person with such horrible customer service and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo I normally thoroughly enjoy Godfatherās pizza - itās been a big part of my childhood, especially at the Bellevue location at Galvin.
However, today, it is a different story. Ordered pizza today (4 pizzas). When this is usually ordered with different kinds of the pizza, the pizza is marked. Not this time (ordered sausage, hamburger, cheese). Not a big deal, unless someone canāt eat pork, or is allergic to something in the pizza. Guess someone dying by unmarked pizza is just a risk people have to take.
Problem #2 is the driver parked pretty far away from the delivery location, and apparently had to pay for parking... on a Sunday. Which is free. So the delivery boy complained about that.
Problem #3 is that he was not prepared. Crumpled receipts, not even a working pen at first, and was just uncaring, and very visible by the attitude. He did not care about this job, nor customer experience. But I understand, some people have bad days.
Problem #4 is that when we opened the pizza, everything was... in the shape of something not pizza. There was half moon pizzas. It looks like everything slid to the side and just sat there for at least 10-15 minutes. But pizza is pizza, right? I generally say the same thing.. but when you add up these problems into one experience, itās actually a bigger problem.
All of this adds up to the reasoning why I give one star. I can deal with unmarked pizza of different kinds (even though Godfathers and every other pizza place does this.) I can deal with bad attitude, uncaring delivery drivers - heck, we even give them a tip still, because I understand. I can deal with disformed pizza that looks like it was dropped off a 21 story building and yet still remained in the box.
But - what I cannot deal with, is all this problems at once. From the start of the order over the phone, with rude customer service, and to the end - with the same, general, rude, uncaring service - is something that ends relationships. Word of mouth spreads quick, and sorry, but Godfathers - we are...
