This is the worst KFC I’ve ever been to. I’ve been to much tougher neighborhoods and older stores that were properly staffed and run. This place is neither.
I came in about 4:00 p.m. and there were hardly any customers in the store, There was a female manger and I think two employees. The female who waited on me was nice enough and was able to take my order and process the debit card payment without incident. Then the wheels started falling off.
I went to take a seat and noticed several dirty table, but I was able to find a clean one in the nearly empty store without a problem. Someone had spilled a drink on the floor in the dining area and a yellow warning sign was placed over the spill, but no one cleaned-up the spill in the 30 minutes I was there. It was quite a while until my order was ready and when I finally got it the food was overcooked like it had been left in the holding oven too long. I had a 5-piece order of chicken tenders and some cottage fries. At least the fries were hot, so that must have been what held up the order, None of the tenders were fresh out of the fryer. When I opened my box, I noticed that the tenders were the Extra Crispy kind and I realized that the lady hadn’t asked me if I wanted Original Recipe or Extra Crispy. I was hungry and in a hurry, so I just ate my food and left.
In a franchised store like KFC, you ought to be able to count on consistent quality of food. This is the only KFC at which I have had a problem...
Read moreJust went to KFC for the $20 fill up original recipe. NOT a good experience! Waited 5 min at the drive through speaker to place my order. I should have just left at that point, but I know that this location runs short handed ALL the time, so I waited. I placed my order, there was only 1 car in front of me. When I got to the window I was told that there would be a 5 minute wait for potatoes, I thought Awesome I will have fresh potatoes! I was asked to pull ahead and they would bring it out to me. Twenty five minutes past before my order was brought out. Usually this location is very good about compensating with a cake or an extra few pieces of chicken, not this time. I headed home before inspecting my order, BIG MISTAKE! I got 5 pieces of original recipe that looked burnt and two pieces of extra crispy, that adds up to 7 when there is supposed to be 8. On top of that the potatoes were refrigerator cold and that's what I waited 25 minutes for! The chicken was cold as well. The only edible portion of my meal was the coleslaw. I was not given a receipt so I can not technically prove that I was even there.
It is such a shame that this location just can't get it right.
It will be a very long time before I go back to this location, if ever. I will go out of my way to go to a better KFC if there is such a thing. I thought the colonel was back to make it right! I will pursue this...
Read moreI used to live near this area then moved to Ft Calhoun so this location is still the nearest option but from now on, I will drive the extra distance to 88th Maple or go to the Chic Filet that's moving in next door when I want chicken. When they forget part of your order or can't correctly count out 8 pieces of chicken, as often happens, don't bother calling because they will let it ring even if you call repeatedly. Consistently horrible service so I have no excuse for having gotten jipped by them yet again!
This is a follow up review less than a week later. I had to increase their review to a 2 star because, once I finally reached them on the phone (4th attempt) one of the staff said she'd make it worth our while to drive back in to get the part of our order they left out and she did. They gave us 2 cole slaws and 2 lemon cakes and were very apologetic to my husband that he had to drive back in. That apology was worth something to us and so we wanted to adjust our feedback to reflect this. I wish them luck as their competition is going to get stiffer with Chic Filet moving in next door.
