Great drinks, great bloody mary options! My husband and I were in on a rare get away on Tuesday, 8/10. We enjoyed all the drinks we had. We decided to go eat at Night Owl and we're having an amazing time there, but we enjoyed the drinks we had at Krug so much we decided to go back. We both work night/weekends as he is a bartender and I am a pediatric flight nurse so we don't get a lot of time to travel. However, night time, during the middle of the week proves to be some of our favorite travel experiences because volumes are small so we get to know the people in the places we visit. We got some of the delicious bloody mary mixes we liked the most to go and some beers we rarely see on tap where we live. The main complaint I have is the bartender. The bartender and their attitude can make or break an experience really quick. We could feel the irritation from across the room that we were in the bar past when the bartender wanted to close, even though listed "close" wasn't for another hour and a half. We want to come back because we really enjoyed the establishment, drinks, and the other people we met while having drinks. However, if we walked in and the same bartender was there we would probably leave and go elsewhere because we felt like such an inconvenience. This is my happy place. First of all - the staff is amazing. I'm personal friends with some of them - which admittedly taints my view - but most of them I became friends with AFTER I became a regular here. Second - the bar itself is beautiful...and I mean that beautiful giant mirrored bar. Seriously - if you're from someplace else just stop in to take a look at the beautiful bar. Third - the beer selection is more than amazing. Name something and they likely have it. Not just that - but the bartenders and bartendresses actually care about really good beer. This isn't even touching their Bloody Mary's. Holy crap - I've never had Bloody Mary's as good as what they have here. If heaven has a bar - and I hope it does - they modeled it...
