Library Pub — Restaurant in Omaha

I am a 59 year old male and as we do every year went to the Library after the fish fry at St. James.. we had a full table. At about 8:00 a security guard came up to me and said we have a dress code. NO hats after 8:00 on Fridays.. Keep in mind my had is forward, I am 59 and said okay. I noticed the security guy was wearing a stocking hat and 2 bartenders were wearing hats. I walked up to security and said why do the bartenders have hats on and I can't. A guy said. " Because I own the place and told them they can" ... Well so much for customer service. I will never step foot in this place again. They were packed, but being in business I know poor customer service and that kind of attitude catches up with you. If you want to be treated like you are doing the owner a favor by your presence than go to the Library, otherwise there are plenty of places that appreciate...

Went in to have a buffalo trace flight for $35 (buffalo trace, stag Jr, blantons, eagle rare, eht small batch) Selection: Huge whisky collection. Scotch, bourbon, Canadian, rye and everything in between. Was a bit disappointed with the Japanese selection but everything else was spectacular. Price: Very reasonable and best in town that I have seen. Atmosphere: No nonsense made for the serious drinker and conversation with your group or join in with the locals where most people know each other and enjoy conversations about whisky.

Overall experience awesome and would go again. This is the place to go to if you wanted to try something no matter how random or scarce they will most like have it. Mark the owner is on location always chatting about something interesting. Must go if you claim to...

We had a party of 20. Customer service was horrible!! They would not let my 73 yr old father in the bar because he had an N on his jacket. They said he had to take it off or he could not come in. These were the new rules of the owner because they had a huge gang fight a couple of weks ago. The owner had on a nebraska coat though. My father also does not usually carry an ID if he is not driving and they would not let him in because of that. So we had to leave to get his ID so he could hang out with his family. This man fought in vietnam and you won't let him in because he did not bring an id. He was not even drinking. This place is a joke and the owner, in my opinion, is a arrogant POS!!!
