I’m a KY resident but I have eaten at Mexican restaurants in multiple states and regions of the U.S. over the past few decades. I’m not a connoisseur by any means and can be a bit picky about what I eat. So keep that in mind. The tortilla chips that come with the salsa are really good. They’re not hard or stale-like. They don’t have much salt and I would prefer more, but that would not be preferable for those with health issues that need to limit their salt intake. So I give the tortilla chips an A+ and the salsa is one of my favorites in regard to both texture and flavor. I don’t care for hot spices. This salsa has a little spice to it and I love it. It wasn’t so much that it burned my mouth, but there was enough heat for flavor and a little kick to the taste buds. I call it the perfect amount. The Quesa Birria that I ordered was the flour tortilla version. The tortilla was crisp. The meat had great flavor. The cheese was plentiful and had a lot of flavor. The portion was more than enough for me. The staff were very friendly. I definitely recommend trying their food here. And if you’ve never experienced Quesa Birrira then you should definitely make a point to try it.

Our family loves going to Tu Familia! Their food and drinks are amazing! The staff are attentive and very welcoming from right when you walk in the door. We frequent here often and have eaten a lot of things from the menu but I would say our favorites so far are the birria, the steak fajitas, the red tacos, the carne asada and my son loves the tu familia burger. We like to try something different each time we go and everything we have had has been amazing! The food is fresh and has so much flavor. And we love the chips and salsa that you get with your meal. They have such a wonderful selection that will please everyone no matter what you’re hungry for. Everything is so good and you won’t be disappointed. And I will add that their margaritas are so big and so flavorful! I’ve had the frozen strawberry many times and wow! They are yummy and the glasses they come in are so fun! The horchata is also very yummy! Our boys get that everytime. We love this place and everyone should go check it out!

We have been going to Tu Familia Mexican Restaurant since they open October 2023 and are so happy they're still making their amazing authentic Mexican food and drinks. Free chips and their awesome salsa doesn't hurt either. Tonight we tried Discada; it's kind of like a fajita set up but with perfectly seasoned chopped and fried steak, chicken, sausage, shrimp, chorizo and jalapeños topped with onions and some queso. Presented in a cast iron bowl set over an open flame with toppings and the tortillas on the side. It was amazing. Packs just enough punch if you like it spicy to not over power the flavor of it all. We love the service, they're very friendly and the prices are fair. Just off of 90th and Fort so it's easy to get to. Give them a try sometime!

We dropped in here spur of the moment looking for some dinner. Just happened to notice it driving by and realized the space now had business.

Employees were all very nice. It seems like a family owned restaurant. Service was a little slow, but they've only been open a couple weeks. I think they are still working out some kinks. And that was ok. We were not in a hurry.

The complimentary chips and salsa was very good. We ordered a side of queso. It has some chilis added to it that gives it a good flavor.

I got the Chili Verde with pork. It was delicious. Pork was cook perfectly and the Verde sauce was delicious. Came with a side of Mexican rice and the usual garden with guac and sour cream. Rice had good flavor. Guac was really good.

Mr. Man got the Chili Colorado. It wasn't as spicy as he is used to from other restaurants, but he topped it with some of the habanero sauce they have at the table and he liked it so much that now we need to go find a bottle of that for home.

Nice little restaurant, great food so far. Prices reasonable. I can see this becoming a regular...

I am hesitant to provide the 5 stars as it was our first visit and they are newly opened. Then again, it demonstrated organization out of the gate by the staff. So how was the food? Very good and plentiful the first visit, they were not able to replicate that on the second visit. Not a unique restaurant menu, just really good at the traditional something-for-everyone menu. The chips were warm and the salsa was mild. We requested the hotter salsa which did not disappoint. The guacamole was vibrant and generously portioned. We ordered the jalapeno margaritas with tajin. A little sweet but the macerating fresh jalapenos cut the sweet nicely. Dinner was the molcajete and camarones diablo. Again generous portions and quick. The seating appears to be new and nicely spaced. Very well lit. Many top self liquors lining the back wall of the bar. Wait staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Looking forward to round two to see if the recommendation holds or needs to be adjusted. Thank you for the meal and service. See you soon. (Edited after...
