Iâm a KY resident but I have eaten at Mexican restaurants in multiple states and regions of the U.S. over the past few decades. Iâm not a connoisseur by any means and can be a bit picky about what I eat. So keep that in mind.
The tortilla chips that come with the salsa are really good. Theyâre not hard or stale-like. They donât have much salt and I would prefer more, but that would not be preferable for those with health issues that need to limit their salt intake. So I give the tortilla chips an A+ and the salsa is one of my favorites in regard to both texture and flavor. I donât care for hot spices. This salsa has a little spice to it and I love it. It wasnât so much that it burned my mouth, but there was enough heat for flavor and a little kick to the taste buds. I call it the perfect amount.
The Quesa Birria that I ordered was the flour tortilla version. The tortilla was crisp. The meat had great flavor. The cheese was plentiful and had a lot of flavor. The portion was more than enough for me.
The staff were very friendly. I definitely recommend trying their food here. And if youâve never experienced Quesa Birrira then you should definitely make a...
Read moreWe dropped in here spur of the moment looking for some dinner. Just happened to notice it driving by and realized the space now had business.
Employees were all very nice. It seems like a family owned restaurant. Service was a little slow, but they've only been open a couple weeks. I think they are still working out some kinks. And that was ok. We were not in a hurry.
The complimentary chips and salsa was very good. We ordered a side of queso. It has some chilis added to it that gives it a good flavor.
I got the Chili Verde with pork. It was delicious. Pork was cook perfectly and the Verde sauce was delicious. Came with a side of Mexican rice and the usual garden with guac and sour cream. Rice had good flavor. Guac was really good.
Mr. Man got the Chili Colorado. It wasn't as spicy as he is used to from other restaurants, but he topped it with some of the habanero sauce they have at the table and he liked it so much that now we need to go find a bottle of that for home.
Nice little restaurant, great food so far. Prices reasonable. I can see this becoming a regular...
Read moreI am hesitant to provide the 5 stars as it was our first visit and they are newly opened. Then again, it demonstrated organization out of the gate by the staff. So how was the food? Very good and plentiful the first visit, they were not able to replicate that on the second visit. Not a unique restaurant menu, just really good at the traditional something-for-everyone menu. The chips were warm and the salsa was mild. We requested the hotter salsa which did not disappoint. The guacamole was vibrant and generously portioned. We ordered the jalapeno margaritas with tajin. A little sweet but the macerating fresh jalapenos cut the sweet nicely. Dinner was the molcajete and camarones diablo. Again generous portions and quick. The seating appears to be new and nicely spaced. Very well lit. Many top self liquors lining the back wall of the bar. Wait staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Looking forward to round two to see if the recommendation holds or needs to be adjusted. Thank you for the meal and service. See you soon. (Edited after...
