Last night my my wife and I went to Lighthouse Bar & Grill to give their prime rib a try. We ordered a dinner salad, a beer, a glass of wine and 2 prime ribs cooked medium rare. When the prime ribs came out they were medium well to well done, and so tough that you could barely cut through them with a serrated steak knife. My wife and I each took 1 bite and then called the waitress over to send them back. She took them back and came back 10 minutes later to tell us that the "chef" said they were a perfect medium rare, and that we would be expected to pay for them. Not only did they not offer to re-cook new ones, but they didn't even bring them back to the table. We offered to pay 1/2 price to cover their cost, but nothing more. Our waitress then informed us that the owner had been contacted and was instructing the manager to call the cops if we didn't pay. We asked what they would call the cops for and they told us "dine and dash". At this point we had not dined and clearly had not dashed, so we said fine, call them. They did, and then the cops showed up and agreed that the prime ribs had been overcooked horribly, laughed about it, and then after calling their supervisor and confirming that there wasn't a crime that we could be charged with told the owner it could only be a civil matter where he would have to sue us for the costs ($60). The owner said that that's what he intended to do! Finally after an hour and a half we were allowed to leave. We paid for our drinks and salad and nothing more, and left laughing with the police. I would not recommend going to this filthy place even for a beer.

I thought I'd give this place another shot... big mistake. I arrived to an empty "best happy hour in Omaha" at 415. I sat down.... went to the restroom (walked through 4 wait staff members and a bartender on his phone and nonone acknowledged me). I RETURNED to my table... sat down and still NO ONE approached me to see if I wanted a drink. Finally a gal in the pack by the restrooms came over and took my drink order. I told her a couple others would be joining me. My friend showed up and sat down....wait staff still huddled by restrooms looking. No one approaches. Waited...waited...waited. I finally got up and went over and asked for my tab. I told her I could see why the place was empty with terrible service even to get a drink. She didn't say a word. We went over to Goldbergs and had great service service!!! I'd recommend avoiding this poorly run place. See pic of them huddled... lol.

The negative reviews are accurate as far as not being greeted once you 1st walk in, but once we sat down it didn't take long at all for our sever to get to us but in fairness it wasn't really busy. I'm a little nervous about the possibility of a long wait if this place is ever packed. We ordered the steak and egg sandwich and wings (which came out to just under $30 with 2 sodas), both were tasty especially the wings. As I waited on the food I saw a plate of onion rings go by and they were huge so I'm curious to try them one day. I don't live in the area, but would definitely consider coming back whenever it's convenient.

I've been here 3 times in the last week, being a regular across the street at another bar, was hoping this place would make a great equal with the option of food. 1st 2 visits, food was excellent, service 1st time was perfect, 2nd time a little awkward (someting going on with an employee not doing their job and a meeting everyone was going to have, at 7pm on a Friday, perfect timing for a meeting) 3rd visit was for the late NFL games (11/3), and had the absolute worst service I've had in at least the last 10 years. We sat for quite some time when finally a waitress (who had noticed us there then later noticed we still hadn't been helped) came over with menus and informed us she let our waiter know we were there. He came over and took our drink order. 1 to 2 minutes later, with no drinks still, we were asked if we were ready to order food. We said we'd wait a little longer. Drinks came, we ordered, and I ordered another drink as mine was almost gone. Our food came out before my drink. Another waitress walked by and asked if I was still waiting on my drink. I said yes. Then our waiter came back over and asked if we needed anything, and once again, I said my drink. He walked away, walked back, and informed me has had it in hes just waiting for her to make it, and points to the bartender standing at a table talking to the guests. My guess from our other visits is this was the manager from the other nights, bartending this afternoon. Half my food was done before I finally got my drink. I don't know if it was the waiter forgetting to put it in, the bartender not caring, or what but either way we will not return or recommend this location to anyone. Its hard to complain at the the time when the problem according to your waiter is the one in charge. Also, I'm not sure if he was a regular, a coworker, or an owner, but another patron that seemed to know everyone was more important to all staff then customers. Enough that while waiting for my drink my waiter sat at his empty booth with him and talked. He cursed while walking and talking with other waitresses, which is great to be seen done by what felt like an employee in an area that had children in it. As you can see I only review when I think things have been unbelievably bad or wrong and others should be aware. So to sum up: The food is so far all great to just amazing. The service was like a bar and grill ran by teenagers who's boss was gone and they were about to be going out of business. Get a to go order of food, and maybe try the other locations to dine inn. Foods are 5 star, everything...

I’ve been to this location twice & experienced below average service both times. The first was early on when restaurants were just starting to reopen from COVID shutdowns. I gave lighthouse the benefit of the doubt, maybe they just weren’t equipped to reopen yet. I dined in a second time over the weekend and was met with slow service & unresponsive wait staff. There were no more than 15 seated tables in the establishment so being busy was not the excuse. I never received utensils the entire time. We ordered an appetizer & did nothing get small plates. When the food came, they forgot both dipping sauces requested in the two entrees. Once the waitress returned to check in and see how the meal was I requested our dipping sauce. After waiting ten minutes for sauce the food was now cold & our drinks were empty and we were ready to cash out and leave. After waiting for another 15 minutes with no sight of our waitress we flagged down another server to see if she could tab us out. She was not able to from her device but instead printed a receipt and so we “could see how much it would be” and she said she’d go grab our waitress. We watched her walk over to our lady and tell her, our waitress looked over and then proceeded to NOT COME TO OUR TABLE though we had the credit card sitting on the receipt waiting. At this point we got up and walked to the bar to pay. The waitress passed us once more while signing the receipt and did not say anything at all or acknowledge we had to get up to pay the bill.

The average food does nothing outweigh the poor service. I’d rather make the drive to the west location off 168th street next time ... I’d spend less time driving further than waiting for dipping...
