The hotel is very nice, yet a little dated. It shares the block with 1st National Bank Corporate offices. Within this block is a parking garage for the hotel guests, but also the employees of the bank and Union Pacific offices across the street. They have the first and second level parking spots of the garage reserved for them. That leaves the third and fourth level for guests at Double Tree. The top floor was blocked off. The DoubleTree has 22 floors at around 40 rooms per floor. So easily 700 rooms, and parking for less that 1/4 of that. The front desk associates were awesome. After we checked in we went into the parking garage and drove thru all four levels, twice, without finding a spot. To exit you have to pay the $10 fee, which is ridiculous. But we were able to contact the hotel desk and they sent a Manager to override the charge. Then he proceeded to tell us to go down to the next block to the parking garage and park, and that the garage was connected to the hotel. I tried to visualize how a parking garage in the next block could be connected, but it was, by an underground tunnel. And after a crazy maze of turns and a quarter mile of walking we did finally get back to the hotel. As I said, the hotel was very nice with a huge lobby. 5 elevators left very little waiting. There is a restaurant, a coffee bar, and indoor pool. The room was satisfactory. The bathroom vanity had 2 shelves which exposed the wall being open which allowed open access to all of the utility lines. The A/C was borderline. Warm air is sucked in thru the ceiling and blown out the wall. The fan bearings we're worn and the fan rattled all night. Several restaurants are within walking distance, but only a few are open...
Read moreAT 1023am I WAS IN DRIVE THRU AND AT THE ORDER BOX ASKED IF THEY WERE SERVING LUNCH YET?( I WAS CRAVING A QUARTER POUNDER) I GOT TOLD TO ORDER WHEN I WAS READY AGAIN AND ASKED MY QUESTION AGAIN THEY SAID NOT QUITE YET. I ASKED HOW LONG THEY SAID ABOUT 10 MINUTES. I decided to order breakfast. The Sausage Mcmuffin meal with a large orange juice instead of coffee. And 2 breakfast burritos. I payed at the first window and pulled up to the second window. 1027am I get to the second window. And the window didn't open until 1035am when I was told that I needed to pull around to the front and sit in one of the waiting spots. I politely asked for my money back cause I didnt even receive my drink yet. The girl at the window said it would just be a few more minutes. I told her no I wanted my money back. She then got the manager who proceeded to tell me that they were in the middle of getting lunch ready and that it would take a bit to get my money back. I said I would wait right there until I got my money back. She proceeded to tell me I would move or she would call the police and they would move me. I again said I just want my money back. She repeated her threat. I told her I didn't trust that they would bring my money to me. She proceeded to tell someone to call the police. I waited 1 minute and watched the manager go to the cashier at the front counter and give her my receipt about 30 seconds later I had my money and went to Burger King across the street where time between order and leaving was less than 5 minutes. And food was...
Read moreBefore I knew about the reviews this particular McDonald’s had, I was fine with it. However, this night was a game changer for me to never go to this McDonald any more even though it’s the only one closest to me and the other one would have to be in dodge street in which might be 15 mins away from me instead of the one down the street. At 11:00 Pm Saturday, November 9 I wanted to just get a chicken nugget combo. I was in line and their were 2 lanes occupied. The right lane car finished their order and I moved through. I assume that their was only 1 person in drive thru so I waited until the lane at the other side was done ordering. When they finished and moved on, another car took that spot. I thought I would finally get to have my orders taken, however, I came to find out it won’t. 3 cars passed me and I’m still waiting at the other lane asking them hey anyone their I’m here too. After the 3rd car passed by that had THEIR ORDER TAKEN. I went to parked my car and proceeded inside. I went up to the desk, they told me they were closed, I then asked them what’s going on with the drive thru because 3 cars passed me and i wasn’t helped. She said I don’t know and walked away having her back face me. She didn’t ask her manager for help nor her manager come and see what’s the problem. This McDonald is terrible in Customer assistance and you will know when they don’t take your order and will turn their back on you with nothing but unsatisfied visit. Thank you Cuming street McDonald for your hospitality. I will never visit...
