Nutrition 402 — Restaurant in Omaha

Bright. Clean. Friendly. Nutritious and DELICIOUS! Nutrition 402 is a little tricky to find if you've never been, but it's worth seeking out. (Please get better signage, Nutrition 402!) The staff greets you with a warm welcome upon entering and guides you through the process of first selecting a tea. (Non-tea drinkers, don't worry, these are delicious and your taste-buds won't recognize that it's tea.) With names like "The Maverick" and "The Downtown", I needed a little extra assistance, as there is no description as to what flavors these names represent. Something called 'the downtown' could be awful, but after being told it's orange, cranberry and mango - it's what I ended up picking!

Then you'll choose a smoothie/shake. These flavors are well outlined on the menu board, but with so many enticing flavor options, I spent a fair amount of time deciding. I chose the Brownie Batter. It tasted JUST like it sounds! Clever, Nutrition 402, now I have to come back and try all of the flavors that I thought sounded good. Good thing they offer punch cards and a $1.00 discount for posting about your visit on social media!

Overall, I felt the process and flavors could be a little better explained. In a way, I'm happy that I had to order a tea to accompany my shake, as I would never have tried the tea otherwise, but I also felt as though I was leaving with a lot of liquid - more than I wanted. I'll admit, I had no trouble drinking both, I just wish there had been another option. Tea and energy bites or shake and something else... (?) I'm not sure if they offer anything other than the Tea + Shake combo. I will say that the flavors, the friendly staff, the beautifully clean store and the deliciousness will bring me back again and again. I'm just afraid I'll wait until I'm thirsty enough for two big drinks. Thanks, Nutrition 402!...

It is not a fancy place, but I have no complaints about it. It's clean, and decent. I really like the smoothies there. I've tried it twice now. The Fruity Cereal one was my favorite. The other I tried was a white chocolate raspberry. I like that they fit within my carbohydrate limit for a meal, and it kept me full all evening.

My friend tried a different one each time also, and liked the 2nd one better also. She got fruit flavored ones each time.

It does not stay open late 6pm is all - so coming after work means not a lot of time to sit and chat with my friend when we go there. But the employees have been friendly, willing to explain the options and nutrition and what it is all about.

I will definitely be back to try...

Was in town for a one-day funeral wake from Des Moines. Found this club, amazing location amongst a shopping center. Parking can be difficult with only (2) parking spots designated for Nutrition 402.
