My wife and I decided we were hungry for a toasted sub, specifically, and wanted to try a new place. We both ordered the Turkey Avocado. Upon sitting down to eat, we discovered that neither sandwich had Avocado-- a premium topping that would otherwise require a surcharge, conveniently forgotten. Furthermore, when at the counter, my wife ordered a drink, and since we both drink the same type of soda and they're $2 extra, we typically share a 20oz fountain drink and it's plenty for us... but the guy at the counter was a bit overzealous when I said "no thank you" to a drink of my own, and kept grilling me like "Ummm... ok? Sure you don't want a water?" After two more rounds of "no thank you" being unacceptable to him, I finally admitted that we're sharing a soda, and he straight up said "No, you can't do that!" After a short argument, wherein we promised we wouldn't refill because 10oz of soda each is plenty, he finally relented and gave us the cup after I asked just how he planned on enforcing this policy. I'm just flabbergasted... are you the franchise owner? Will you get a bonus if you save the company a few pennies? I understand the reasoning, but it's just asinine, not to mention rude... $2 for a fountain soda that costs ten cents... we didn't refill our cup, but only because the guy wasn't behind the counter when we were on our way out, so I couldn't "salute" him in the process. We were prepared to walk out the door with our subs already made for us... which would have been more wasteful to the...

Read morePotbelly Sandwich Shop is conveniently located in the North Park area off of Blondo Street. It is a spacious restaurant with about 20 tables, and a 7 chair counter area. It is decorated in a retro hippy style. Think lots of comic sans font signs that say "Peace." There are also some vintage photos of Omaha. I went around 11 am, and it was empty. A man was setting up his guitar for live music.
I ordered the A Wreck. I ordered it with standard toppings on toasted multi grain bread. The sandwich was filling in, yet manageable. At no time did I feel like my sandwich was falling apart, and at the end of the meal I felt full. The mustard gave the sandwich a bit of a kick. The salami, roast beef and turkey all complimented each other well. This salt and vinegar chips go well with this sandwich.
This is a good lunch spot. It's easy to get a quick and delicious bite here. It was all under...
