I started working here for the first time because I really wanted to be a server. The atmosphere when I clocked in was just sad! They said something about my ripped black pants which was the only black pants I had but they were wearing blue jeans with even holes in it. Then proceeded to give me a work shirt that has already been worn and dirty and had food residue on it that was cracking off. They yell at their employees they have no respect for their employees, they talk about their employees while they sit in the office on their phone on Snapchat and social media. They also let their boyfriends come in the store and stay in the back with them which is for employee only. They are very unprofessional. The food might be good, but the people that owns the place is not. I asked to speak to a higher up and even tho I know there was one she wouldn’t let me speak to him which was also suspicious. What else do they have going on at this restaurant. I told them that they are very unprofessional and if you’re making the rules as an owner it’s only right you set a good example and follow them for your employees. It’s sickening! After I tried to leave the “owner” ASTHISMA whatever her name is, she pushed me and hit me in my face which turned into a brawl, I hit her back and we started fighting and of course here comes her sister joining in and they both joined in to fight. They then called the police but when the police came they didn’t want to file any reports knowing they was in the wrong. I sure did talk to the police and I WILL BE pressing charges. This is unacceptable worst management I have ever worked for in my 19...
Read moreThe food was decent, and the ambience was nice. However, this was hands down the worst service I'd ever experienced in any type of restaurant, Indian or otherwise.
The person waiting tables was completely clueless about the food items on the menu, and for any questions asked just said "I'm not familiar with the food as I've not tried it". An honest response, but not exactly helpful when you are trying to order food!
Then, there was a long wait time to be served each dish. In the end, they completely forgot to serve dessert (gulab jamuns served "hot"). When I was getting the bill, I was told they "couldn't remove that item from the bill" as it had already been made. Thinking it was a freshly made item, I agreed to a take out, and was handed icy cold gulab jamuns. When I asked them if it was supposed to be hot, they just said "Yeah, we microwave it before serving". Again, I appreciated the honesty; but if it was not made to order, why even say it couldn't be removed from the bill?
It is understandable for a restaurant to be short staffed (and seriously, kudos to the team that still kept the kitchen running). However, it is imperative that they at least train the staff on the different food items to be able to answer some questions!
It's probably worth doing a take out from here, wouldn't...
Read moreOn Black Friday, we decided to explore this place which was on our list for quite some time. It’s a newly opened Indian restaurant in our neighborhood. We arrived there at around 7PM for dinner and it was total empty. Surprisingly they have huge area with nice sitting arrangements and beautiful, romantic ambience. There is also private dine-in area including additional sitting on top floor. Our host was an American lady which asked us to follow her. She was bit cold with least possible smile on her face. We ordered Bollywood top 5 in appetizer which was basically a mixture of different pakoras. In main course, we ordered 2 rotis, 1 plate aaloo-gobi and veg biryani. Food was tasty with authenticity of home cooked food. We asked for medium spicy, but there medium spicy was also enough to make you sweat. Veg biryani came without Raita since it was in Vegan portion of the menu. Biryani was more of Matar Pulao with lots of gobhi(cauliflower). Rotis were soft. Service was quick. I also tried their Masala tea which was ok. There is also a pub section in the restaurant and whole place is decorated with Indian movies’ posters. Bollywood songs were in play all the time which made the...
