Yumchaa — Restaurant in Omaha

It's my first time there and I can say the ambience is pretty good. I could hang out there all day long with books and cup of taro milktea. The design of the place is pretty warm and so welcoming. I love their idea of putting their menu in front of the counter it's easy to read especially to people who's nearsighted. It's clean I couldn't see any dust either in the floor or in the tables. The arrangement of tables is applausable too it's not too close yet not so far. The ornaments that placed in every corner are pretty much balance. Now let's talk about the service, it didn't take long maybe 5-10 minutes you're order is already served and take note the flavors that they claim to have in each order is there. The richness of milk and tea is balance. They also have an option for the sugar level which I find amusing especially to those people whose looking out for sugar intake. The range of sugar percentage is from 0-100 , I got mine in 50% and it taste like how I want it to taste like if I'm preparing it myself. And the price is not too much. I read about the change in ownership and decided to give it a second try. I entered and the place was much more welcoming, the employees were very nice and friendly. The first time I went in this week I got my usual order, the drink was less sugary than usual, I could make out a bit more of the tea flavor and the boba was better cooked much better texture. A couple sips in and you can tell the drink was made with better care.

The older gentleman offered us some gelato samples and they were great! We stopped by again later in the week for some gelato and it was super tasty and creamy! I am excited and looking forward to trying their offerings more often!

Previous 3/5 star review: The onigiri is over priced for what you get, literally a boiled egg would be more filling. If I made onigiri like that I think I would be ashamed to offer them to a guest in my home so why would someone pay over $4 for one. Maybe wait until a product is presentable before you try and sell it. The staff is okay, the yumchaa milk tea is good, will probably only order that...

The atmosphere is ok. Food was average. Ube waffle was good but could have been prepared better. When it's closed in the container it becomes wrinkly and not crispy. The spam onigiri was not that impressive. The amount of spam in it was the least impressive thing about it. It's a thin slice. It would be better if it was thicker and pan-fried. The size of the onigiri is a bit small for the price, in my opinion. I enjoyed the Sunset Beach Boba tea. The egg rolls were good with the sauce. It was really good. The service was so slow. They could have announced when the food was ready better, too. It took 30+ minutes before I got my food. There were only two ppl ahead of me and they only had 1 drink and 1 food. And they were already ordered their food 15 mins before me. It only got busy 10-15 mins after I made my order. I don't know if the workers were new or not, but it was the slowest service waiting for a drink that shouldn't take more than a few...
