Friendly bakery. Their number one seller is their torte, but it must remain cold so we were unable to purchase it as we had to go elsewhere after. Instead we tried the apple pastry and the cherry pastry. Both were good. The inside setting is not that inviting, but it's ok if you are looking for a quick meal with no frills. The display case did not have that many assortment.

I love trying new places, this one was a gem. I ordered the special, German Goulash with potato salad. Comfort food at its best! It is not very big and even though it was just after lunch when I can, there was a fairly constant stream of people. Service was excellent and the food was also. There is ample parking and the bathroom was very clean.

the service was absolutely amazing. the food was really good if a little simple. the desserts were yummy. all in all I bet this is a consistently delicious place with staple foods soups and a few specialties.

I have always loved their Napoleon Tort, there really isn't anything around that can top this!! Used to work in a restaurant in a nearby town that served that tort on the menu. Local grocery carried this, not sure if it still does.

Went to the shop location on Pacific cause I had the worst need for the tort. That tort is still amazing to this day.

So you're probably asking why 3?

That store was dirty! The pastry case was dirty inside and out. Icing on top, crumbs every where.

Yuck.

I was the only customer in there, employee came out of the back didn't even say hello. There wasn't even a thanks when I left.

Now with that said, cranberry walnut bread, meh wouldn't buy again. The rye bread, you better believe I would buy that again. Original tort is still amazing after all these years! Chocolate raspberry tort, I'll pass. I love chocolate, this just wasn't my cup of tea.

Gonna have to do some hunting, see if that tort is still in a grocery store...

Went in on two separate occasions and was made to feel bad for trying to buy kolache. Stopped in to get a dozen but bought five the first time a week or so ago and she was rude about me "taking all of them." I just assumed they were low because it was 10 am( kind of late for the breakfast pastry crowd). Came In a second time today.. at 9 am to buy a dozen kolache for my office meeting and she scowled at me and told me "that will wipe us out"as I looked in the case at all the other products she had to sell I asked her so haw many am I allowed to buy? Isn't the point of having the bakery to sell the baked goods? She scowled and told me if I sell them to you then no-one else can buy them... I won't be back again. Too bad the counter lady is rude because the...

Came for lunch on a Monday, and they were quite busy for such a small place. I love that it's family owned, and you can taste the love that goes into the food. The temperature inside the dining room was a little warm on a hot summer day, but i took my lunch to go, so that didn't matter too much. The prices are lower than many other sandwich shops. The menu stands out to me because you can get a Braunschweiger or a double PB&J, or if not in the mood for a sandwich, you can get a variety of sausages with sauerkraut or red cabbage. My absolute favorite is on the dessert menu... Napoleonas Torte. A staple from my childhood that is so delicious and unlike any other dessert. Creamy, buttery, flaky,...
