I told you I had trust issues. Go ahead and get comfortable for this one because I had to bust out Word on the laptop to shed some light on a situation that occurred 9/10/2016. It’s out of my character to right reviews good or bad because thems is first world problems aka spilled milk, but Lighthouse pizza has something special and my most recent experience had me feelin’ a type of way. This is a positive and negative review. 1st the good news: Lighthouse pizza has the BEST pizza in Nebraska. No I haven’t tasted every pizza place in the N, but I don’t care and it doesn’t matter because it’s that good. This past Friday 9/9/16 I introduced my family from Florida to this spot and even their pallets were blown…that sauce is lit. Lighthouse pizza is so good, I walked outside after an hour or so of shopping, smelled Zio’s pizza and said ** I want some Lighthouse Pizza! So I called my bf and we hit the spot up again on 9/10/16. Now my customer experiences from Friday to Saturday were like night and day. I wish I kept my receipt from Friday so I could give those ladies some credit – I do know I was there around 2 and the customer service was beautiful and delightful! Service on Saturday is the bad news… That * Jennifer #1004 working the window needs a ***’ attitude check! I’m talking about Chk 2001 Sept10’16 06:05P. I have worked a drive thru before, and I would have NEVER shown my ** like she was last night. I’m about to give you a reason to have an attitude honey… 1st I had to ask if we could pay with two forms of payment **near 8 times and she started getting impatient. There’s a point where you can’t hear and you’re just not listening. 2nd idk if she put the order in wrong or if the guys in the kitchen just didn’t catch it, but the Sparky half of our pizza had ZERO sauce on it when all we asked for was no Sparky sauce. 3rd We ordered a whole pie and were going two different places so I asked if we could have the halves in separate boxes. When I asked she immediately said No. I looked at her like, really? Since whens does the drive thru tender make executive decisions like that. You’re not even the one who boxes it… I’m guessing my puzzled stare convinced her to ask someone who’s actually working and miraculously it was possible. 4th so we finally get our whole pie in 2 boxes (shout out to the kitchen it was delicious). However, there was only 1 cup of pizza sauce in each box. So that’s approx. 1 cup per 4 slices of pizza. SO we asked if we could have extra and when we asked for extra cups of pizza sauce JENNIFER thought it was a good idea to actually roll her eyes at my bf and I. Since when do you reserve the right to catch an attitude over sauce that’s free **? Stingy * *. Had I not just got out of work and wasn’t tired I would have shoved that pizza up her skinny lil . Just so there’s no confusion as to who I’m referring to and the reason I’m calling her Jennifer is because that’s the name on my receipt. That ** had long mud colored brown hair and wore pink/redish rectangle plastic framed glasses, also her shirt was a faded red color possibly pink. And just because I got trust issues I’m posting this on Google too. It’s going to be a while before I eat Lighthouse pizza. Her attitude left a nasty taste in my mouth. Good...
Read moreMy husband and I are from Washington State, and maybe the pizza I am use to is different than pizza here in the midwest. All I can say is it was subpar and did not meet my pizza expectations. However, I'll tell you what I did like. I appreciated the enormous amount of food you could get for $20. The pizza was way bigger than we were expecting. I also enjoyed the unique and creative toppings. We tried a pizza that had mac n cheese, bacon, chicken, cheese, and alfredo sauce. It wasn't bad, and it was filling and tasted like its ingredients. It just wasn't amazing. I would rather just eat a box of dangerously cheesy Kraft mac n cheese for $1. I also got a slice of the Supreme pizza. I just didn't enjoy this. The crust was hard and the rest of the dough felt undercooked and soaked in grease. I couldn't easily pick up the pizza. There was dry overcooked hamburger or bacon? On top that just fell off when I went to take a bite. The slice was too huge to maneuver and needed to be cut into at least 3 normal pizza slice sizes. There was too little marina to where I could not taste it and way too much cheese. It left me feeling bloated and disappointed. We did not each much of our enormous pizzas and gave the rest away to the people who were also staying at the Rainbow House. The dipping sauce was weird. Tasted like coleslaw dressing. The dough boys were bland, and the marinara sauce that came with them was odd. All that being said, we will not be ordering this pizza the next time we visit Omaha, but if you are simply hungry and want a lot of bang for you buck, it would he a...
Read moreMeh. Went on a tuesday at 1pm and it was nearly empty. Despite having no one else there the cashier and waiter were dismissive and didn't even make eye contact much less exchange any kind of courtesy. Bare bones dining room setup inside I guess to be expected of a place with a drive through but not having a changing table in the bathroom is something that even McDonald's has but not lighthouse.
Pizza was pretty solid, great cheese and sauce ratio on a thin crispy crust and a good amount of toppings (pepperoni spinach feta banana peppers and mushrooms) and it came out in reasonable time. It was a little pricey at $24 but not horrendous for the quality of pie. Fries were limp and bland but smothered in parmesan cheese so my son enjoyed them at least.
Was kind of bothered to see 6 empty microwave boxes stacked up in the corner but at least our pizza tasted fresh from a pizza cooker, cant speak to how the fries or order by the slice selections are warmed though.
TL;DR good pizza but poor service, atmosphere, amenities or fries. Not very child friendly and a little expensive. Probably will not go to this location again, better options in...
