First time at Aldi.. we were so excited to be in this store. Lots of great deals. While shopping we found a backseat car protector. (These things are a little pricy) there was no price. But heck we figured we will just ask the cashier for a price check.
When we got to the cashier (the individual didnāt have a name tag) we asked her if she could give us a price on the backseat car protector. she proceeded to say, the price should be there. We didnāt see one and we apologize for the inconvenience. We were just trying to get a price check. Obviously annoyed and agitated., states she should know if thereās a price there or not. She spent 5 hours putting all those items there. (She basically called us a liar for not verifying if there was a price)
I got out of line, went and took a picture and proceeded to shower her that there was no price. At that moment she stopped looking at me or even acknowledging us..
Who does that. This cashier had no remorse for the way she treated us. The only thing we can think of.. she didnāt like gay people: or was having a very bad day. And as far as Iām concerned. I donāt care.. My spouse & I were having a great day. And happy to have found the deals we did at Aldi. Of courseā¦. Not sure if we will ever return.
She was the rudest individual Iāve met in Omaha. I donāt think we will be going back..
If customer service cares to know who this person was. I saved the receiptā¦Iāve attached it below. This will help you to determine which employee was so rude to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere are literally so many things right about Aldi that I know no review can truly do them justice. But I'll try. On a superficial level, they have a very simple yet colorful aesthetic that permeates everything from the way the store is set up, to the food that stores their shelves, to the way your groceries are bagged. No flare, no extra, no "hey, huge blowout sale on aisle 6!!" to distract you from what you're really there for... just the straight forward good stuff. This is what leads to the best part of their whole business model - they're cheap as hell! Almost every food item is healthy or organic, yet costs less than the brands you find at every other grocery store. It blows my mind every time I shop here. I've never had a bad or even slightly unpleasant experience at an Aldi. There's never a long or time consuming line at checkout because they just scan your items. A drawback some people might have is that they make it so you are the one who bags your groceries (bring your own bags! Or buy their cheap reusable ones), but I love the act of placing my groceries in a way that makes sense and allows me to unpack them efficiently when I get home. I can go on and on, but I think it's time for me to... Unpack my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAldi's is a great place to go for cheap supermarket prices. I had the most amazing experience happen to me there. I'm retired and on social security, therefore, I'm also using a $60 a month EBT food card. So, I'm checking out, with 4 or 5 other shoppers behind me. Well, $60 for food doesn't go very far for a month and before I knew it, my register amount was almost at $80. I was embarrassed to say the least as I explained to the checker that I only had $60 on my card as he looked at me with "the look" you get when someone wants you to hurry up or not happy because he had to call someone to restock the items I couldn't afford. Behind me I heard wee voice say "I'll pay his balance". I turned around and there was an older woman with a smile. I protested that she doesn't have to do that, I'll just go without the things I couldn't afford, but she insisted. She was my angel that day and I will never forget the kind deed she did for me. The next time I have extra money and someone is I the same situation I was in, I will most definitely pay it forward. Thank you to my angel, I wish I would have gotten her name...
