I am a truck driver that travels long distances not only for work but also to come eat and support local business. I ordered from my truck a great distance to dine in and hang out for a while while ordering at least five things on the menu or at least that was my plan because I was going to eat there and take mini options to go for the road which I always do… When I get there, I noticed there are Three tables for dining and more like a kitchen doesn’t really feel comfortable for us to stay long at all, no outlets around the tables either add insults injury. They don’t have any public restrooms for their customers. At the very least, you should have an accessible bathroom for your customers, especially if they’re not from the same town. It was raining outside and they said the nearest bathroom is at least a block away, which normally isn’t a problem, but it is the principal of all them do not use those bathrooms. They use their own, so why wouldn’t they allow their customer that will stay for a while in order pretty much everything off the menu. So I ended up having to leave and go to another place It’s upsetting to see how people operate their businesses like that. If I were a pregnant woman, I would be in a pickle. What do you guys do for hand people as well can’t just take a walk down the street? I Don’t agree with how they do service here that’s not ethical. They’re not giving us option. Do you have the basic necessity of using the restroom which is very unhealthy. I hope the owner sees this because you just lost the customer. I pick and choose places that I come back to and I order at least three things on the menu each time I come so that means if I’m there for a weekend, including Friday, that’s nine sales that you missed Not only that, but I have Truck Driver friends that are also trying to eat right and I refer people to those places and I will not be referring them to this place. The people were and not considerate to basic humane needs at all. They just shrugged it off and went onto the next person. I absolutely hate when people act like robots and act like other people do not...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer of Veg Edible for years, since before Stacie’s first official walk in restaurant opened in Benson so you would think that would mean something…. The owner Stacie ignores customers if an issue arises or if given constructive feedback when you dislike something. She also became hostile towards me while dismissing our issues.
Example of most recent issue: The “donation cookies” we recently purchased were honestly some of the worst cookies we ever had, we even spit them out and threw them all away. Even had to mouthwash that potent taste out of our mouths…. The cookies were hard as a rock & the frosting had a very odd gross taste to it which surprised us because her cookies are usually mostly pretty good (but a lot of extra sugar!!) I tried communicating with her about this but she was extremely dismissive. I was like, is this a different recipe compared to your other stuff or what’s the deal?!? And nothing but awkwardness.
I’ve been trying to stick around and support this restaurant even with most things being overpriced as the idea of an allergen friendly restaurant atmosphere is great but I can’t and will not do the bad energy and rudeness. There are inconsistencies I just don’t like and when you’re paying the price you pay for her food, YES you want it to always hit your expectations…..
Also, sure they are allergen friendly but does everyone realize how bad beyond “meat” is for you that they use??? Extremely unhealthy…. And soy is also not good for you then all of the extra sugar and unnecessary ingredients in the food here. Yes vegan and allergen friendly but is it natural and good for you?? Nope. No, thanks. Dare I go on about what types of illnesses and health issues these foods are linked to???? I never ordered any of those items. Mainly just ordered certain baked items & their French fries occasionally.
After seeing the way everything has unfolded after all this time, I unfollowed Veg Edible & I hope the owner removed me from their email list as well.
Good luck with...
Read moreEverything, and I mean everything is GF + Vegan! Everything is delicious and tastes amazing (you forget you’re eating VEGAN + GF). Mind blown!
I stumbled upon this business, composed of 1 (yes ONE) very talented lady. She not only makes stuff directly for the consumer, but also for businesses like: Edge of the Universe Cafe, 13th Street Coffee, Omaha Tower Cafe, etc. Not to mention Pop-Ups, Featuring all kinds of amazing creations.
I looked her up online via her FB and Insta accounts, which brought me to her website. Stacie does pop-up food events at different locations throughout the metro, but better yet, she will make your food from scratch and deliver it. Caters, too.
She also offers pick-up options.
Her menu consists of sweet and savory Vegan + GF items: Brunch Items, Dinner, Lunch, desserts (cakes, cupcakes, brownies, scones, muffins) hush puppies w homemade vegan/GF ranch dipping sauce, on and on and on…….Come on!!!!!!
I was so overwhelmed and overjoyed by these options that I have ordered/eaten her food every week since discovering her. So much love and time goes into her food. She is dedicated + so easy to work with, plus so accommodating! How often can a GF person eat vegan “meat” options, since many vegan chefs use Seitan as their main “meat” product. Her food is amazing! One cannot tell that it is vegan or GF! We have been so impressed. We did the ordering via her website, then discussed specifics via Text, and she responds almost immediately. It is such an easy process and she is extremely punctual; exceeding our expectations!
We ordered the following GF + Vegan items and everything is full of flavor, delicious, and fairly priced: Muffins, Cupcakes, cake, decorated sugar cookies, vegan bailey’s brownies, McRib Sand + fries, hush puppies + homemade ranch, breaded tofu fishwich + fries, buffalo mac n cheese.
Give her a try. You will not be disappointed! I cannot wait for a future brick and...
