I wanted to share some feedback about our experience at your Regency location last night. We had a reservation at 8:30 PM to celebrate a very special occasion—our twin daughters' high school graduation. We were genuinely excited, especially after hearing great things from my sister, who visited a few weeks prior and raved about the fun ambiance, excellent service, and great food.
Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to those expectations. While I understand that Saturday nights can be busy, we did have a reservation and were surprised that it took over 10 minutes after being seated for anyone to approach our table. There were six of us—not a large party—so we didn’t anticipate that level of delay, especially given the occasion.
We ordered two appetizers right away because everyone was hungry. The meatballs were tasty but came three to a plate for $18, which seemed excessive. My husband ended up ordering a second round, so we essentially paid $40 for six meatballs. That felt a bit steep.
The soft-shell crab special was a fun idea, but the presentation was lacking. The person who brought it out simply dumped it onto the table, causing it to fall off the presentation slaw, and said, “These are great,” before walking away.
More disappointing than the food, though, was the service. Our server didn’t greet us warmly or offer any enthusiasm about helping us celebrate. He was unable to answer basic menu questions, especially from our 12-year-old, who doesn’t speak Italian and needed a little guidance. His responses were minimal—“uh, yeah,” or “I don’t know.” When I asked about the spaghetti, he simply said, “I don’t really like that.” I mentioned another option, and again he dismissed it with “Nope, I don’t like that one either.”
Despite all this, the food itself was decent. Everyone enjoyed their meal, even though some of us ordered dishes the waiter didn’t recommend. That said, for a $24 pasta dish, a piece of bread would’ve been a welcome touch.
Overall, we left feeling underwhelmed—not because of the food, but because the atmosphere and service lacked any real sense of welcome or celebration. For a night that was meant to be memorable for our family, it just didn’t feel special.
Perhaps your vision is more aligned with a trendy, exclusive crowd rather than a family-friendly dining experience. If that’s the case, consider this feedback confirmation that you’re achieving that image. But if not, I hope our experience can help identify areas for improvement.
Thank you for taking the time...
Read moreMy two brothers and I made a reservation for 6pm. I just lost my fiancé in a tragic accident a few weeks ago and this holiday is terrible for me, and I am in town spending time with them for Christmas. The service was good but the food took a little while, and we definitely were being rushed to order each round every time our server came. We got drinks and appetizers and had planned to have a nice relaxing dinner. At 7:34 we were eating our dessert that had JUST dropped on the table moments before. We asked our server for our check (one check) when he dropped dessert as we were enjoying the last part of our meal. A different server/host/manager (who knows) came up to us and said “Is this all one check? Also this is awkward but we need you guys to leave because we have a reservation at 7:30 and they’re here right now”. And she asked us if anyone had told us at the door that we had a 90 minute limit at our table. And no one had said that at ALL, and what was even more ridiculous is that SHE was the one that sat us and she said nothing about such thing. I had a full glass of Prosecco and we had 2/3 of our desserts and had been enjoying our time but suddenly had to rush out because she rudely needed us to leave. If you have overbooked your restaurant that is your mistake. You should always give your customers a notice if you have a time limit (which is so tacky in the first place), and you should also have given us a notice before the reservation had already arrived. If she had told us 30 minutes prior that she had a table coming in that would have been okay I guess? But to tell us 4 minutes after she needed the table is so weird and rude and tacky. Not impressed and disappointed that we had to rush our experience and hurry out. Especially as a holiday dinner celebration. The food was yummy and our server was great, but that was a really...
Read moreThe service at this restaurant was really poor. One Tuscan Greens salad was ordered with a side of chicken, another Tuscan Greens salad was ordered as a side dish, and another salad came with a Little Italy entree I ordered.
A second server came by shortly after we ordered and delivered the Tuscan Greens salad that was supposed to come with chicken without it (which took another 10-15 minutes to cook and deliver). At the same time, my full entree with the side salad was also provided (20 minutes before anyone else got their entrees).
Seeing that the other side salads had been delivered, we inquired about the third salad we ordered and should have received. We were met with a smug attitude, a curt "I don't know," and eye-rolling as if we were wasting this person's time.
After the main server was made aware that a salad had been forgotten, they came back to the table to ask what salad we had ordered and not received. Keep in mind that this is a reasonable mistake and can happen; however, what shouldn't happen is that after it was ordered a second time, we still got the wrong salad. Seriously, I know it looks cool not to write things down, but do it.
Overall, the restaurant looked very nice, and the prices were reasonable but not cheap. However, the atmosphere did not align with the staff's overall appearance and rude behavior. The booths also don't comfortably fit four people.
Others at the table liked the food more than I did, so take my "food" rating with a grain of salt, but my sandwich was nothing to write home about, and I will not be visiting this...
