I can and ordered the vegetarian wings to be greeted by this man. I walked in and the restaurant wreaked of marijuana. I asked what the smell was and he acted as if he did not hear me. I ordered my food which was a 10 piece vegetarian wings. He asked me if I wanted any sauce and I asked if I could have containers for my ketchup being that every time I come in, I an able to get 2 containers to place my ketchup in. The last lady told me it was more cost effective to do it this way since I would need a ton of ketchup packets. I’ve always came in and ordered the same thing every time. He goes to the back and grabs 1 container and hands it to me. I asked for another one being that wings usually comes with 2 containers filled with sauce. He then says, “99 cents”. I said’”99 cents for what?” He says, “For another container”. I said, I have always came in and received 2 containers of sauce, why are you charging me? He looks at me and repeats “99 cents”. So I said, okay, Well give me just a barbecue sauce. He then proceeds to charge me “99 cents” for the barbecue sauce container in which I am suppose to get anyways. I told him I was not paying 99 cents for sauce that is suppose to come with my wings. I then pull out my phone to record the nonsense that was happening. He then threatened to call the cops on me for “taking his picture” and said he was calling the owner. He then proceeded to have a long drawn out conversation on his phone and I asked to speak with the owner on the phone he was on. He then quickly hung up and said she would be here in a couple of minutes. I have waited about 45 minutes, sat down and ate my wings and no one ever showed up. I even ran next door to Subway where my kids were at to let them know where I was at. I returned to KoKos and asked has the “lady” showed up and he said, “not yet”. I sat down and waited another 20 minutes. When I returned from Subway, he then took his phone out and took a picture and a video of me yet still threatening to call the police on me because I “recorded” him. I sat down and waited for the “police” that he said he called in me. I was not disruptive, irate, or angry. Just wanting to know why he would charge me an extra 99 cents per container yet everyone who walked in after me he gave to them freely. I also have videos of him recording me that I will make sure gets uploaded and sent to the “owner”. Before I left, he proceeded to tell me he was the owner. So I said, “ well who did you call?” Needless to say, he didn’t...

I've had Korean fried chicken from Vancouver and Winnipeg. These are different from what I've had in the past.
They offer wings if you want dark meat or chicken tenders if you want white. They have only been open for 3 weeks so I expected some issues, and there were.
We ordered 6 wings or tenders in 1 of each flavor so we could try all the flavors. We wanted to do wings exclusively but they ran out of wings so it had to be a mix.
When we got them only 1 set of wings were hot. My group mentioned there are a handful of other hot ones dispersed in the flavors but it was very random.. Most of it was lukewarm but some were cool. Props to their customer service. They misheard us I believe when we explained the majority was cold and refunded us all the wings (not the tenders). Then realized after it wasn't just the wings. We weren't expecting anything back since they were a new restaurant and were going to chalk it up to a new restaurant. I believe they would have refunded everything had we clarified but we just wanted then to know, not that we were looking for reimbursement. So for that customer service that get 5 stars
The flavors... Chicken wings The powdered curry chicken didn't translate to the chicken. It didn't taste like anything. Black pepper was generally very well liked being a few people's favorite. The hot chilli was my favorite. The first one I had was 3/10 spice. The second one was 7-8/10? So there was a bit of inconsistency with what. My friend mentioned how spicy it was and when I had my first one I was confused because he normally eats way spicier. The Sweet chilli was my personal 2nd option though it fell to my friends third option. The curry was ok to me, but with the other options not a first pick.
Chicken tenders Lemon Mustard Good if you like mustard Honey butter I'm writing this the next day and I didn't even realize this was honey butter.
I will say the hot chilli was also the only hot item. So that one might have just tasted better because it was served at the wrong right temperature. I'm also much more of a wing person than a tender person so that might have affected my preferences. They also offered a 20% discount for our next visit so we will go back in a bit too try again. I gave them a higher rating due to the customer service.
Parking is available in a large lot....
Read moreVery nice, neat and clean restaurant, with a very helpful and friendly staff member at the register. She took the time to explain the menu: bone-in wings or tenders, French fries or rice.
The KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) was cooked perfectly on the outside and the inside. It was very juicy & very tender. The taste was rather nice; even without covering it or dipping in the sauces. They cook to order so your food comes to your table HOT & FRESH! The wing were a very nice size; I had the 6 wing combo with fries and I thought it was very filling.
They also offer the pickled relish and I thought that was refreshing and a very nice compliment to some of the sauces. The fries are very good too!
The Sauce Assessment: They have a nice selection of sauces that you can choose from and they do not mind if you ask for all of them. You can dip it or covered it, as you please.
Hot Chili – this was a dry mixture, kind of spicy but I loved the hint of cinnamon and garlic… it was HOT but not too much for me.
Sweet Chili – is a classic and basic and simple… very nice. I actually mixed some of the Hot Chili powder in this one to kick it up a notch.
Black Pepper – was nice also but not in my top three.
Curry – was a pleasant surprise… it was actually great on the chicken and there is no mistaking… it’s Definitely CURRY…and it’s a very nice Curry mixture…. I could see adding this sauce to some other food items.
Lemon Mustard & Honey Butter were my FAVORITES and each of them were the perfect complement to the wonderfully cooked KFC…. (Korean Fried Chicken).
The restaurant was very clean and the bathrooms were also very clean.
This place is definitely TWO THUMBS UP for me…. The Korean double friend chicken will get you every time….if you have not tried this style KFC; I definitely...
