My mom and I stopped in for dinner here last night, Tuesday. Arriving about 6p the place was full but not bustling busy, thankfully. Upon checking in w the hostess I asked for a table, not a booth nor a high top table. Turned to scan the restaurant "ahh regular tables seem to be at a premium!" The hostess had two tables I couldn't see that were beyond the bar, so she immediately took me to one. Mackenzie was our friendly server. We just missed happy hour, my mom didn't care "it's probably only $1 off anyways" so she opted for a New Glarus Moon Man to par w her burger dinner. We both opted for the Oklahoma Smash Burger w waffle fries. Mine was sans "smothered in onions". The burgers hit the spot and can you ever go wrong w waffle fries?! The food was out quick and hot. When first seated, having never been before I asked our server Mackenzie if she had any favorite meals? All of which sounded delicious but something to look forward to on future visits. She recommended the Salmon Salad bowl which had recently changed the sauce so wasn't a favorite any more. She also said the chicken tacos are a solid choice and then of course a juicy lucy. Which maybe we'll come back on the 12th "National Juicy Lucy Day" when they're on special for $9.12?! Actually I was quite impressed by their page of specials! With the good food and great service we will definitely be back! Thank you Mackenzie and Crooked Pint Ale House!

If you're looking for a casual dinning experience, Crooked Pint is a solid choice. The atmosphere is fantastic, especially if you don't want to go around the campus area for a beer and a burger. Service was great. The food was OK. I got the Juicy Lucy special for 7.99. That's a great price for a burger, especially for a sit-down. The burger was not seasoned, it was okay. The fries were annoying. I'd call them pathetic stubs. And finally, the cardinal sin of having ketchup served to you in a pre-measured single serve cup is eye rolling. If you've never had a Juicy Lucy and don't want to make a trip up to the cities, it's a good option. I would not come back for the Juicy Lucy. If you want a reason to come to Crooked Pint, the Asian Pork Tacos are a certified home run! The only bad thing I can say about these flavors sensations is that you only get two per order. I'd come back fore those tacos. There are some other menu items that I MAY come back and try. But if you're looking for something new, want a beer, or don't want to make a trip to the cities for an authentic Juicy Lucy. Crooked Pint is a solid option.

Overall not the worst place... But wasn't the best experience at all. Had over an hour wait, but with their wait app thing we just ran over to tjmax. Were told it'd be about 45 minutes but it was well over an hour. Got put in a booth with them forgetting we needed a high chair. Kept us in tight quarters regardless of high chair blocking walk way. Waitress forgot details of our order such as the grenadine request added to my coke, no croutons on my husband's salad and we had to remind her to bring our beverages which was after our apps arrived. Lucy's were basic and noticably smaller than the bun they were served on. For a ridiculous extra charge of $2 they'll sprinkle parm cheese on your limp fries. $1 charge for cheese on the kids burger and $3 charge to sub fries for a salad. The almost $9 for 3 pops that we got mid meal weren't exciting either. Fried pickle spears were good however along with the somewhat spicy ranch that was served with them. Overall won't go back or recommend.

Let me be clear, my review is in no way about the server at this place. The hostess was friendly and promptly seated us and our server was very nice and good with service although she never once offered any refills on drinks or anything. My husband and I used to come here a few years back and the service, the food, and the atmosphere were all great. We had been wanting to visit again and so we did and we were very underwhelmed this time. As I mentioned above, we were never offered refills on drinks. Our server did come around but wasnt really attentive in the ways she should have been, although she was friendly. We bought game cards for us and our kiddos and we tried to ax throwing game. One of the scanners to pay for the game with the cards was broken, yet somehow it still stole all of our credits. Theres absolutely no way of getting those plastic axes to stick to the board either. Later, our daughters were playing Mario cart and one of them kicked her off as soon as it started and wouldn't let her re-enter the game. When we let our server know we'd basically been robbed of our credits by the ax machine and that the Mario cart was broken..she said she'd let management know but no one ever updated us or let us know what was said nor did they attempt to refund our credits. When we got our food, none of it was really good. The fish in the fish tacos was rubbery, greasy and tasted terrible. The burgers were extremely greasy and just not good either. Our daughter got the chicken salad and even though she didn't formally complain about any of it..she also didn't eat hardly any of it. We got the bill and for the fish tacos, two burgers and chicken salad..the bill was somehow 73.91. Unfortunately, we probably won't return in the future. Sucks because this used to be a...
