MOKA — Restaurant in Onalaska

EDIT: Mocha staff sent me a gift card to give their business another go. So I did. I was able to get scones this time!!!! They were excellent and well worth the wait. Fresh and very flavorful. The employees were very polite and courteous, same as last time. Like I said in my previous review, I don't normally go to specialty coffee shops but will from now on, but only Mocha!

I don't normally go to specialty coffee places but someone I work with raved about the scones at Mocha. I decided to visit the store in Onalaska and get some scones for my husband and father for Valentines day. I was the 14th car in line. No problem, I understand having to wait. After all, this is drive thru only. What I did have a problem with was when I got to the 4th car in line a woman came out to take my order. I ordered 4 scones. She said she would be back to tell me the total. Never came back. I finally get to the window and the man told me they were out of scones but had donuts and cookies. NO. Just NO. Both he and the woman that took my order were pleasant and professional but having to wait all that time for nothing was unacceptable. If you are out of something please put a sign up. Or have the person taking the order in the line let us know instead of making us wait until the very end. I will not be back because I do not want to take a chance of wasting...

I go here frequently and have been lucky to build relationships with the staff. They are always friendly and go above and beyond for their guests. I had one of the worst days and was pretty emotional getting my daily coffee that day. The manager is always great when I'm there but this day in particular is something I'll always remember it made my whole week so much better. I tell everyone about how amazing their staff is and compassionate about what they do. Moka's coffee is delicious! I go back for the customer service but also because they make my regular order perfect everytime. They are a busy location but the staff comes out to get my order when there's a line every time and offer fast service even during their crazy rushes. They build relationships with their customers which isn't something you see very often anymore I reccomend this location to everyone I know! I also have restrictions of what I can drink as far as sugar content and the manager went above and beyond to help me figure out what I can get that's a healthy option specifically for me on another occasion. This tipping garbage is out of control. I didn't even get to choose the tip because she had already clicked on it. . Not cool and dishonest buisness tactics. No did she let me see she did that. I don't tip unless I know that the drink I got is correct, i don't mind tipping a dollar for a simple coffee however, I always tip in cash. Not Okay. you guys make a decent hourly wage. You're lucky if you even get tips let alone expecting them for doing your job and not even with a smile or pleasentness. Becuase the lady that keeps taking orders isn't even nice about it. She's smug. Like why would I tip if you didnt even try to be nice to me and then tip yourself on my dime for being that way. Not ok. I know not everyone knows what she's doing out there, mist the employees are nice, But be aware to the other staff, that's what she's doing out there and...
