Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in Onalaska

The worst experience I have ever had at a Caribou Coffee and on more than one occassion. The drive-thru line appeared long so I expected to wait a little longer than usual, however after sitting in the drive-thru for 30 minutes when I finally approached the window I was not helped and not acknowledged for 5 minutes. The drive-thru attendant was not at the window, and there were four employees behind the main register. After trying to wave my arms around and make myself known from outside the window to try and get the attention of at least one of the four employees standing behind the counter to come to the drive-thru window, I was ignored by all of them. The drive-thru attendant then returned to the window from the kitchen and proceeded to do other tasks as I was still waving my arms around and saying “hello” to try to get his attention, rather than assist me and the long line of customers behind me. It also appeared that the young man working the drive-thru had no additional help taking drive-thru orders or restocking the drive-thru station so he was forced to take time away from customers and not get through the drive-thru line quickly. I am extremely disappointed in my experience with this Caribou Coffee and it’s staff while going through the drive-thru. I would not recommend this Caribou Coffee...

Love my coffee, so I thought I'd try something new today. Kwik Trips there are plenty in La Crosse, and I love my Kona Dark refills, but I'm also always up for trying something different.

The coffee was fine, but as some of the other reviews suggest...the wait time was pretty bad. I did wait a good 15 minutes at least with only three cars ahead of me, and all I was looking for was a dark roast.

But at $3.50 for a large, and then $1.50 tip...I think next time I'll just go to Kwik Trip across the street and get my refill for $1.25. And to be honest...I think the Kona Dark tastes better too.

I noticed they do offer other things on their menu, but I wasn't looking for food or cream or sugar boosts. So maybe there's just a different audience for this spot. Also...I didn't notice indoor dining. Just a drive thru, and a window to walk up to. It was alright...not...

Walking into Caribou Coffee is like a little escape from the everyday. The warm and cozy atmosphere instantly makes you feel welcome, whether you're there to grab a quick coffee or to settle in for a while. Their drinks are consistently fantastic—I'm a big fan of the Mocha and the Vanilla Latte, which are always rich and perfectly balanced. What really sets Caribou apart, though, is the service. The baristas are always friendly, quick, and genuinely seem to enjoy what they do. They remember my order and my name, which adds a personal touch that you don't find everywhere. Plus, it's great to see a company that prioritizes quality ingredients and a good cause. It's more than just a coffee shop; it's a place that makes my day a little better.
