El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Ontario

Always liked El Pollo loco food, that being said, it is always the service that is poor. Went to store 3283 at 668 West Holt boulevard in Ontario California today, and another bad occurrence. Was picking up our order and asked male employee for a couple extra hot sauces and a couple salad dressings as we had two salads that was included in our meals. He said sure and stuck them in the bag. As I picked up our order to go,a girl at the register out of the nowhere started saying that it's extra money for the salad dressing. I told her that where I live they never charged for salad dressing. She flippantly told me that's where you live that's not here. My guest became livid and wanted me to leave the order and get a refund, but I went ahead and took our order. When she said that, the guy that was helping me told her next time. If there was an extra charge for salad dressing, it would have been proper for the guy to have told me ahead of time that it was. But he didn't say anything and said sure and handed me the extra hot sauce and salad dressing that I had asked for. It was very rude for her to just intrude in our conversation and tell me that. And believe me I would have never paid extra for it. if she had insisted I pay for salad dressing for my salads I would have wanted a refund myself. Terrible, just terrible! Years ago, this was a very well run and tasty operation, but NO MORE. This is by far the worst food I have eaten in a long time. VERY overpriced, very dry, the coupons are very silly and pathetic. The rice was dry and balled up, the beans were tasteless, portions were small. The chicken is either overcooked and dried up, or under cooked and rubbery. I also noticed only one particular race of employees working in here, but that is on the franchisee. The franchiser could care less, just so the franchisee keeps selling their product. Not surprising. This chain, and its stock will be gone soon, and they deserve it. NEVER AGAIN will I eat at one of these rancid chain stores. Last time I went in here, I ordered a whole chicken to go. The A WIPE who cut it up shorted me 2 breasts, and substituted with with legs and wings. I know they had breasts available too. DO NOT spend your money at this rat trap of a chain. Go to Juan Pollo! Better chicken, better prices, better quality...

first of all let me say that what I'm going to say does not mean that I am endorsing this place or that I am getting paid by them or by anyone for saying this.. I love this El Pollo Loco establishment I have tried many other ones but this is the best... probably because I am attached to it because of a family thing... I've been coming to this place for many years I can't remember how many... You see!.. My second son, he's going to turn 30 this year and he was just a kid, 7 or 8 years old when I started coming here... it's been many many years. I love this place I'm not going to tell you anything about the food, cuz' the food is great and I'm not going to tell you anything about the location, its got a good location I'm just going to tell you that I love this, El Pollo Loco place...
