Farmer Boys — Restaurant in Ontario

It's Easter Sunday and there aren't very many places open. So we decided here. I have eaten at many Farmer boys in the past and the burgers are pretty good but I really like their onion rings. This place was different, the inside was pretty sloppy, unclean tables with crumbs and oil residue, so i wiped the table myself, niw to clean my hands, so I used the restroom to wash my hands and it was horrible. Disgusting Horrible!!

We ordered, and the food was a major disappointment. The frys were old and cold, grilled chicken was good. But the major disappointment was my favorite, the onion rings, they were made with the outside peeling on the onion, I couldn't even bite into them. I know their onion rings are truly overpriced. You 4 big rings for 6.00 really not worth it but I get them and kinda spoil myself. To make matters I requested no onions on my Burger. I like cooked onions but raw onions on a burger over takes the flavor, and I don't like em. So again majorly disappointed with my meal all together. I will never go back to this place again. It was a big waste of money. Farmer Boys needs to close this...

The ladies at the front were very nice, however I'm not sure why between them and the cooks nobody wanted to look at the ingredients for the veggie burgers to see if it had soy. I should have left then, but I ended up getting a veggie omelette meal anyway. They don't mix the eggs first before putting them in the pan so you can really smell a heavy eggy smell when you're trying to eat omelettes.

They don't season anything.

I was trying to tolerate the eggy omelette when halfway through my meal, I experienced a hard crunch of egg shell in my teeth. I'm totally turned off from eating the rest of it.

Next time I will trust my instincts because now I feel like I've wasted $12. I stopped going to Farmer Boys years ago when they said tuna wasn't on a farm and no longer sold tuna. And when they got rid of the sunrise sandwich. I should have went to the Black Bear Diner like I was planning in the first place and they're only down the street. The disappointment. 😣

Good and reasonably priced place for salads. Sadly some areas of the menu have gone down.

Unhealthy foods such as margarine instead of butter, imitation creamers instead of half and half.

The new "French Fries" are horrible. Though for diabetic health reasons I rarely eat French fries, they along with the new method of zucchini tastes bad and appear extremely unhealthy.

It like they changed to an awful tasting cooking oil.

Sadly, this same recipe change has taken place at very large fast food chains, like Burger King and Carl's Jr., and financially they lost millions.

Maybe these changes saved Farmer Boys money and made you more profitable, but how do you measure the profit loss from money and customers you do not have come back?
