Creswell Lane Restaurant — Restaurant in Opelousas

We needed to stop during our 6-hour drive to eat lunch. The choices were this restaurant or fast food places like McDonald's, Taco Bell, etc. We decided to try this. It's an all-you-can eat place that offers different options from salads, to Chinese food, to sushi. The place is clean and spacious. We were seated immediately upon arriving and our server was attentive and competent. Their food was good, but nothing special. However, in the lobby is a pond/open aquarium on the floor filled with different kinds of fish that are lively and huge. I think that, just for that, a stopover at this restaurant...

I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of food choices! There was a bar with fresh ingredients, that you put on your plate, including fresh meat, then took it up to a counter by the cooks on a grill, put a number on it and took a matching number stand to your table, so when they cooked your meal, it was delivered to your table! There was also a full buffet section also! My sister and I had the fresh prepared plates, and my bro in law had frog legs!! It was very tasty!! One of the better Chinese food...

Just went back here about a week ago to dine in since they reopened because of covid. My wife and I used to love coming here but now the ALL the food taste totally different and nasty. Also they didn't have sushi rolls anymore. We hardly ate anything on our plates. We were very disappointed and we will never go back now.
