Impressed is a great word to use for GT's On The Bay! Beautiful views if you are seated inside or out!! Plus, they have a salad bar....and let's face it...a year after Covid started, an actual salad bar excited me the most. We started with GT's Dip. I won't lie...this could have been better if they maybe sat it under the broiler to get hot and gooey with a nice cheesy crust on top but it was still pretty good. The chips served with it had a good seasoning. I ordered the chicken carbonara. It had added wilted spinach with these amazing thick linguini noodles with 2 garlic French bread pieces. The grilled chicken was so tender and flavorful as well as the egg based alfredo sauce, I literally couldn't find anything to complain about in this dish. My husband had a time...he wanted the Cajun pasta with the shrimp and crawfish but after finding out it had red sauce, he opted for the steamed shrimp. However, we found out they were the royal reds (head on) and he was out! (My husband is the less adventurous type). Anyway, he went with the pork chop. Oh my goodness...this bone-in pork chop stuffed with spicy sausage, onions, and peppers topped a mound of smashed sweet potatoes and was covered with a smokey bourbon BBQ sauce. This was paired with a side of perfectly seasoned greens! He was so happy he had made this choice even though he said the stuffing was a little too spicy for him. We left with plenty of left-overs, including a piece of key lime pie. Haven't tried that yet but it is nice and thick with a thick crust. GT's On The Bay is definitely a place everyone should try at least once.

Three of us arrived about 6:00pm on a Wednesday in January. They were busy but not overly so. When you enter, you pass by a small area with T-shirts for sale, and the bathrooms. The ceilings are very high and so the place is very open. It’s a lot bigger inside than it appears from the parking lot. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well as a large bar. We were greeted promptly and taken to a table. Our waitress arrived within a minute and took our drink orders. For dinner, we ordered the GTS Grouper, the Firecracker Shrimp, the Totchos, and the Shrimp and Grits. All the serving sizes were very decent. The GTS Grouper was lightly breaded and baked. It was served on parmesan grits and topped with spinach and meuniere sauce. It was pretty good although the fish was a bit dry. The Firecracker Shrimp were typical of what you find in the area. Fried with a lightly spiced sauce. The grits part of the Shrimp and Grits was served as two fried rectangles. It was tasty but I was kind of over fried stuff after eating some of the Firecracker Shrimp. The shrimp served with the grits were a bit disappointing. Several of them were cool rather than warm as if they had been precooked earlier. They didn’t have much flavor unless you drenched them in the sauce. The Totchos didn’t tickle our fancy. The tots themselves were fine, we just didn’t care for the mixture of the different flavors with the pork and white sauce. Overall, just an ok dining experience. Nothing overly negative to say but nothing to rave about either.

Fantastic seafood! Me and the family have really enjoyed every dish we've tried from the menu. Great appetizer is the "Totchos," tater tots with smoked pulled pork, sliced jalapeños, smoked Gouda cheese sauce and white BBQ. Another awesome appetizer "Cajun Empanadas" Louisiana crawfish, Conecuh sausage and tasso ham cooked with sweet peppers and creole spices, wrapped in dough and deep fried. Served with housemade remoulade, fantastic! A few entrees we've found really enjoyed are: "Shrimp-n-Grits" Large Gulf shrimp sautéed with Worcestershire, garlic, cream and Cajun spices. Served over fried Parmesan grit cakes. "GTs Grouper" Tasso encrusted Gulf grouper, oven baked and served with Parmesan grits, sautéed baby spinach and topped with meuniere sauce. "Fresh Catch" Grilled, blackened or fried. Served with Parmesan grits and roasted vegetables. Top with meuniere & sauteed crabmeat for extra. PoBoys are all very tasty. Give them a try next time you are in the Gulf Shores Orange Beach area. Oh yeah almost forgot one of my favorite things about GT's on the Bay is the atmosphere is fantastic! Has a huge water feature indoors, dining outside is an option and the restaurant is situated with an awesome view of the Bay.

First time going since it became GTs. Sat outside at the bar. The bartender was friendly, quick, and helpful. He was only serving 5 at the bar, plus some walk-ups. The tap beer wasn’t very cold, but that’s probably hard to accomplish with the heat and humidity outside. Started with the seafood cheese dip and nacho chips. It was served cold (meant to be) but I didn’t realize so didn’t even taste it. Not a fan of cold appetizers. Had the gumbo next. It was very good with the right amount of seasoning and spice, but, not much seafood and quite a bit of sausage. I’m one of those that thinks sausage or fish in gumbo is heresy. Finally , had the burger. It was cooked perfectly, came out as ordered, and tastes great. Sweet potato fries were very good as well. There is a great view of the back bay from the back patio and bar. Will I go back…doubtful, but only because there are so many other similar to greater choices in the area.
