Albertaco's Mexican Food Inc — Restaurant in Orange

My husband and I brought our college daughter here because it was close to the dorms/school. Let me start by saying the woman taking my order was annoyed that I wasn't quick to make my drink choice and she told me to choose a color (being I have light skin, she assumed I didn't know what I was ordering). We ordered very simple meals for the 3 of us and not one was good. Even the fries were soaked in grease and soggy. Torta was just blah and my cheese enchiladas couldn't be cut with the plastic utensils because the corn tortillas weren't cooked at all. All 3 of us had stomach aches for the rest of the night. Oh and now that I've described the food, we were charged $40 bucks for the childs meal burrito, cheese enchilada a la carte, and single torta. The place looks like a large taco stand so I guess we figured we could eat for 10 bucks each. SO overpriced for disgusting food. I rarely leave negative reviews but it's rare an entire family hates their food and feels sick afterwards. We will not be going back and our daughter will be sharing the experience with her fellow students at Chapman. I'm also very certain the lady who runs the place could care less about this review as she truly had vibes of hatred for anyone who didn't look as brown as her. This place is a hidden gem! I moved to Orange about 3 years ago and have been coming here whenever my husband and I feel like asada. They have the best asada out of any other local taqueria! (And my husband is super picky). They are a little on the pricier side for the tacos, but that’s probably because the tacos are huge and they really pack them down with meat. I took one star off because of the new lady that is at the drive through. I’ve never had any issues for the past 3 years, the employees have always been extremely nice and my orders have always been spot on. However, these past 2 times that I’ve gone, the older lady with glasses has gotten my order wrong. Today it was pretty upsetting as I repeated my order and she even repeated it back to me at the window, only to charge me for an extra item. The upsetting part was that she made me feel like it was my fault and I saw she made some remarks about it to the other employees. This place is incredible everything is always made fresh to order they make all their salsas and meats fresh everyday. The machaca burrito is incredible that chile relleno burrito is out of this world. And you can't beat the tostadas they're under $5 and they're huge with the most delicious tender chicken fresh veggies and crisp tortilla shells. They're open 24 hours so you can't have an excuse to not eat something delicious whenever you have the urge! I always like to leave a tip for their services when applicable they were such a tried and true staple of the community during the stay-at-home order! Now if I venture off and it's not nearly as good it really upsets me and I have to go get my fix of albertacos!
