This school isn't cheap, at all.. with that being said, our daughter is going here and was also accepted into the honors program. We were all very excited and we found the school to be extremely well rounded. BUT now that she's attended and lived on campus for a month, things are very opposite of how they appeared. We are a conservative family who believe in freedoms to be yourself, no matter who that may be, but we do not support forcing acceptance from others... With that being said, our poor daughter has shared a room with two other girls who apparently have ED and told her to remove her bathroom scale due to being "triggered" by it. They also wouldn't allow her to clean the room without everyone being home because it made them feel as if they may be viewed as not doing enough.. many other things of this nature. Fast forward to the recent presidential debate and she has yet to walk a hall without hearing F Trump and Republicans.. along with other grown men being brought to the school late nights to pretend they are dorm staff and knocking on doors trying to push their way in. It shouldn't be happening yet doesn't seem like safety is a concern to anyone there. Let's get to probably the most important part of my concern which is nearly ALL classes our daughter is taking are led by professors who bring their opinions of hating Republicans and their curriculum aligns with their opinions. Staff is biased and shouldn't be forming these young adults to hate anything. The texts also have these innuendos within the lessons. It wasn't until our own family experience that we know for certain that college students are being targeted to hate only one side of things. They are absolutely being indoctrinated by staff and the students all embrace that hatred and spread it throughout. Our daughter doesn't even have a side to believe in, her words "I don't know enough about each side to determine how I will vote" are something we are proud of! But getting daily calls of the hatred and bullying already happening, when you don't agree with a professor or fellow student, is quite disturbing and concerning for us. She has already had to block and make private her social medias, out of fear. The school, at welcoming day, stated they are all inclusive but I think what they meant was for gender confusion and the love of democratic party. It's weird and I have regrets.. unfortunately, we believe this is the world we now live in so any college would be as such. It's so unfortunate that our daughter cannot just be there for her studies, without fear of "triggering" others with just existing. It's a beautiful school that supports, enables, and allows some really questionable behavior of students, staff, and professors. That's not how they came off but that's what's happening right now. We are disappointed, to say the least. Our daughter deserves better, especially for the extremely high...
