This place is neither Tex nor Mex. First off, the interior is horrible. It looks and feels like a cheap condominium unit in the middle of Arizona that tried sprucing itself up to look a the lobby of a cheap hotel in the middle of New Mexico. (Long-winded & silly sounding, but true!) You think with a name like “Taco Town” that it would have fun and possibly overtop interior and nods to both Texan & Mexican culture, but it doesn’t. Now, the service: the girl working the register didn’t even know what “complimentary” meant when I asked about the condiments at salsa/sauce station. (The station could also use proper computer-printed labels on the sneeze-guard instead of poorly hand-written ones.) Lastly, the food was extremely mediocre and kind of gross. The lettuce in my tacos were poorly cut (not shredded) and also rather dirty & noticeably wilted. Also, the chicken, shrimp & steak all could have been better cooked and marinated, as well. I say, stick to Taco Bell if you want...
Read moreI expected more. I was very excited about this place opening. We stopped in tonight to check it out. The menu wasn't overwhelming (that's nice) we ordered four items each with a different meat to test it out. The ground beef is like something you get from a school cafeteria. Steak was ok. The chicken tasted like pre-cooked frozen chicken thrown on a grill. Same with the steak but that was at least something we could eat. The quesadilla was very small and disappointing. You can get the same quality of food from taco bell for less money. It's a good looking place. Staff was friendly but the food could...
Read moreI stopped in with Debbie for some tacos, basic menu: tacos, fajitas, quesadillas, Nachos, side orders, no tostada's - which momentarily flustered me. I had a Ground Beef and a Carnitas Taco, both packed, great portion of lettuce and cheese. Very good Hot Sauce and Mild sauce. I was pleased and my Mexican Rice was Outstanding. I wish they has a bigger menu, hopefully that will happen soon. I also don't like their order at the counter and get food when name is called, but I guess that's the sign of the times with some employee shortages. Again, overall, I think you should try it, owned by a...
