G & S American Deli — Restaurant in Orange

Co worker found this place with a quick search of the area. Generally not down this way so just stumbled across it. Place is clean, decent parking considering most of the area is on street parking they have a solid parking lot even for a work truck that's 11 ft tall and 15 ft long. Staff is incredibly nice and prices are good for a solid lunch especially nowadays. We both enjoyed our sandwiches. The sub roll bread is amazing, cold cuts and cheese we're fresh. My only complaint was the shredded lettuce on the sandwich tasted like it was just out of a bag and not that great. Red onions were very good. If they put leaf lettuce on the subs it would be amazing. If I'm back in the area, I'd stop in again I'd just forgo the lettuce unless other options are available. My family and I would frequent this deli all the time. As of late, their customer service has gone down hill.I called in an order for just two salads and a sandwich and was told,”15 mins.” Okay, no problem. I had about a 20min commute to get to them, so that was perfect. I get there my order wasn’t ready.Okay, I sit and wait.It took them almost 10-15min before they even pulled my salad to get made. Meanwhile customers that came in after me, their food was made and they were sent on their way. I walk up and asked the worker could you please tell me the status of my food, “It’s coming! You definitely cannot go wrong with G&S. I have frequented this establishment many times over the years. I used to work in an office not to far from there. After the office moved locations, I STILL make trips to get my favorite sandwiches! The staff are friendly and helpful. They also have a fool proof order system to get customers in and out quickly. I suggest you place an order beforehand to minimize wait time. My favorite order is a roast beef sandwich on a roll. The cheeseburger deluxe is a close second. The prices are fairly reasonable.
