Although the food here was actually very good, I'm not sure I'll dine here again. When you come to the front door you have to ring the door bell for them to open it for you. Once inside the room was so gloomy and dark that you're not sure if they really are open for business. We were then told that the prices of the menu were all incorrect, and the prices are higher now as indicated on their website...!? The Taiwanese beef stew noodle soup was good, but should just be called beef stew noodle soup. A few of the soup dumplings were stuck together that as you pick them apart so goes the soup. The beef ho fun was very small in portion. So.. yeah.

Lin's Kitchen has been, without a doubt, the most authentic Chinese restaurant I've come across during my many years in Connecticut. Whether it's for birthdays, anniversaries, or special holidays, this is always my top choice. The dishes here are truly authentic, far beyond the level of typical takeout places. I genuinely love the food here, and it's the reason I confidently recommend it to friends.

Authentic Chinese food. This place is really good!! Make a reservation before going there. They don’t allow walk-ins!

Omigosh. If it was possible to rate negative stars I would! It was crazy bc I found myself arguing w the woman that answered the phone to take my order. All we wanted was chicken chow mein. The woman had no clue what it was. What chinese restaurant doesn't know what chicken chow mein is? She kept saying chicken lo mein is the same thing. So I finally relented ...she had no special lo mein, again like most chinese places offer...had no clue what I referred to. So we ended up ordering one chicken lo mein and one shrimp lo mein. Asked for an egg roll again she mentioned 2 vegetable spring rolls came in one order. (We did not want spring rolls. But rather egg rolls!) $34 for the absolute worst food my husband and I ever had! And the only reason why we ordered from there was bc the chinese food we usually order from was closed Mondays and lins kitchen was the closest to a hotel where we were staying at for my husband's birthday getaway. Beyond disappointed. I wouldn't recommend this place to my dog! In fact we just ordered from our usual chinese place today and was so grateful it's a friday...we got a huge order of chicken chow mein, a pu pu platter and cold sesame noodles for...

I think something that can accurately describe this place is your visiting someone’s home who have opened it to share their food with others. It’s a husband and wife team and the food here is exceptional, authentic Szechuan fare, with some American Chinese food staples done very very well. It feels a little like your intruding at first, but soon you are family and enraptured by the fantastic food. Do yourself a favor and try the Chengdu Pork Dumplings in Red Chili Oil and Deep-fried Spicy Chicken.

END OF EDIT

The food I have had here is pretty good, so I’ll give them the stars, but the service here is terrible. Don’t walk in and try to order, even just take out, they will act like you offended them. The restaurant was empty, no one person there. They wouldn’t seat me, which is fine, but I asked the order take out and they said one order would take a long time and I was better to not order.

Their attitude is hostile at best, my worst experience was just straight up rude. Hopefully they change their system, they make it hard...

Average place with high price and poor service. We decided order to go after seeing all the rave reviews. Placed order online and said ready to pickup in 30 mins. After 2 minutes they called us and ask if we need to order anything extra like rice or sauces and told nothing is free and we need to pay extra.. Anyway we told we dont need any thing extra. Went to pickup after 40 mins. The door was closed. There was a note asking to call the restaurant to curb side pick or reservation. Called the number, they said it will take more time but they dont know how much more and they hung up. Finally after an hour a lady came out with order. I wasted over 20 mins waiting in the car. Once again get home after 10 minutes drive, the food was not warm and the cheap to go container lids were broken. I don’t understand why they cant even provide minimum quality container for the extra price they are charging. Overall food was average and too oily. If you are charging upscale price, please ensure to provide upscale quality and...
