The rudest owner I’ve ever spoken to - I called to order a pizza for pickup, Erin answered and I explained that I have two groupons that have expired but the amount I paid for never expires so I wanted to use them up with my order ($6 each x 2), she said we no longer accept groupons if they’ve expired and I said well that’s not how Groupon works - what you pay never expires but the deal itself does. She then told me I can’t use two groupons at one time. I said that doesn’t make sense since it’s no longer a Groupon but the amount I’ve paid. She put me on the phone with the owner, he said he was the son of the owner and told me they took over the restaurant (oddly I’ve heard his voice before the last time I used a non expired Groupon with my order) He proceeded to tell me because they are new owners they no longer take expired groupons and that I should call Groupon and get my money back since they won’t make any money off the groupons. He then tells me he only accepts groupons that have not expired. I said again, politely - that makes no sense? If you are the new owners like you’ve said and you don’t make money off groupons then why would you accept a non expired Groupon at all? You wouldn’t make any money either way then? Also if you notify Groupon that the account is closed or changed hands they refund all Groupon holders. His response “I dunno, just call Groupon, ok?!” And HANGS UP ON ME. Meanwhile I just placed an order so I had to call back and tell Erin to cancel it obviously and that the owner is rude beyond belief - you do not talk to people like that ever, if you want to run a good business you respond kindly and truthfully and I had no problem calling Groupon and asking for a refund but the back and forth explanation that was all over the place didn’t make sense at all - ridiculous. You treat a customer like this? I’ve purchased from them numerous times but never again. Lost...
Read moreHow does this location not have 5 stars is beyond me!!! From the moment I walked in the young lady behind the counter was very welcoming. They were about to close and still said "of course, what would you like" 😊 I am a vegetarian and I asked for the veggie pizza. She asked what size? I was like 😳 you have sizes. Then she explained from small to party size. 🥳 I took the medium. Then she told me the price and I was like 😳😳 I am definitely not in New York! The price for what I order was truly the best value I have heard since 1990. Then she asked if I was from NY and I said yes. Tbh I am very picky with my pizzas and she said well this is very close to NY pizza not to worry. Well I popped open to look at it once I got it from the chef 👨🍳 in the back( I call him a chef because look at that photo) 😳🙌 you can see the confidence in his face as he handed me this master piece!! So I got back to the hotel and grabbed a slice Bursting robust flavors from the sauce to the fresh vegetables on this pie! I regret not taking photos of how clean this location is and the friendly staff. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND 700...
Read moreI saw the reviews on Slice (4.9) and expected great things. Med. Margarita pizza. Apps were fried calamari, clam strips, 12 piece bone in wings, onion rings, and a meatball parm grinder. Cost = $103.35. Delivery fee= $2.00. Support Local Contribution fee= $1.49. Tip @15%= $12.21. I have NO PROBLEM paying for good food. Portions for the apps are small for the cost. Absolutely not worth it. Calamari has a thick batter, almost like bread crumbs. Not to my liking. Clam strips were overdone and again, the portion was extremely small. Onion rings were mostly batter. Where's the onion? Wings were okay. Meatball parm grinder had no flavor. Where is the seasoning? Pizza was tasty but for the cost I have had better and a larger size for the same cost. Overall, the food wasn't horrible but it was overpriced for what you get. The best part of it all was the delivery driver. Super nice! I really wanted to love this place. I don't typically do reviews but I thought I should for the cost to food to quality ratio. I hope this...
