After seeing and dealing with many different mattress stores and companies, I can actually say that Raymore & Flanigan have the worst mattress policies in the entire industry. If you end up purchasing a mattress here, you have to pay for a mattress protector to even get the comfort guarentee and the cheapest protector is $100. Essentially a $100 fee to even get the 120 days, something that is free for every single other company out there. Even their biggest competitors like Macy's, Bloomingdales, Mattress Firm, you name it, all offer this at no additional cost. Then if the mattress doesn't work out, you can only exchange it for something of equal or greater value. You do not get returns and you can't get any money back if the exchange you want happens to be cheaper. You have to get something from them no matter what to make up the cost. Once again, not a single company does this, none of the brands of the beds they sell even do this. Everywhere else gives you the option to return or exchange. You can literally go and buy any of the mattresses in their store from the individual brand's websites and get a better policy while paying the same amount. Beatury Rest, Serta, Sealy? Yea you get 90-120 days to try and return or exchange at no extra cost. Sterns? Yup 90 days, just go to their site and you can return it. Avocado? Absolutely go to their site, you get a whole year to try out their mattress and a 25 year warranty, which you won't get either if you buy it from R&F. Same prices too as they are dictated by the manufacturer, R&F has no control over that. All the other brands they carry, Tuft & Needle, Casper, Nectar, Purple, you name it, just go to their webpages and buy there, you will have a much better policy while paying the same amount. There is literally no benefit from buying a mattress from R&F. The only thing they are good for is to use them to test any of these mattresses out, then if you find something, just take a picture of the spec sheet on the mattress and go online and purchase it there. Not to mention the employees there are all just vultures that see you as commission money. The only people there who will remotely help you are the store managers, the rest will just hover around you the entire time only answering questions with a yes or no and instead sit on their phone the entire time waiting. And if you're there for hours testing different mattresses they will then try to bully you into a sale by saying that you are wasting their time. You, the customer, are wasting their time as they sit there getting paid by the hour. Laughable.
Look maybe they're decent for furniture, I have no idea, but for mattresses? They are the worst place to go to, period. Like I said, just go there to use them as they do have a massive selection of mattresses to try in their showroom. But just don't buy any, instead save the info on the ones you do find confortable and just purchase them online from the...
Read moreHave to say Iâm not really impressed. I spent over $6,000 here on furniture in one visit, no credit card used either, and for the amount I spent you would think the service would be better. I needed a COI in order to have the furniture delivered to my apartment complex per the leasing management. I called Raymour and Flanigan Sunday to have that taken care of, and come Monday it was still not taken care of. I had to call Monday and inquire where it was, and I was told that I would receive it later that evening. Of course later that evening, I still hadnât received it. I called Tuesday morning the day my furniture was being delivered to my complex because I still had not received it. I was told I would receive a phone call back once the matter was looked into. I received no phone call back, in fact, I had to call THEM back AGAIN and ask them where it was. After needing to hound them to get it, I finally did.
The unprofessionalism doesnât end there. I placed a special order for an online item to have it delivered to me already put together instead of shipped and not put together. At this point I should have just shipped it and put it together myself, it would have been quicker and I would have known exactly when I was getting it. I received an email with no date or information as to when the item would be estimated to arrive in the warehouse. I called the store and was told they couldnât see anything on their end for a date either and that they would look into it and call me back shortly. Iâm sure youâve guessed by now based on their failure to communicate or respond that yes once again, no one has called me back about that either. So I will once again have to call them and inquire as to what is happening with the item AGAIN.
Lastly, when I was in the show room I told the assistant that I wanted the adjustable base with the head and feet adjustable option. Clearly he was not paying attention to what I was saying even though I was and had spent a substantial amount of money because my adjustable base was delivered and only the head is adjustable. I checked the receipt and I was charged for only the adjustable head but thatâs not what I had wanted or asked for. I also told him that I wanted the mattress protector for the warranty and he didnât put that on the ticket either, which I would have never known had I not called back to add their protection plan to the rest of my furniture.
To add, during delivery the paint was scraped off my front door and a part of the door where the lock goes into was completely dented. In the bedroom they also managed to take a small chunk out of the wall to the point where it needs to be filled in with spackle and painted. Ridiculous.
Honestly, 2 stars is being generous at this point. Emailed customer service with my feedback and complaints and have yet to receive any type...
Read moreStay away from this location. The Orange store has zero customer service. I purchased a $5,000.00 living room set and was treated like absolute garbage after the sale and before the delivery. Hereâs what happened: I requested follow up from the Orange store on any potential sale price adjustments while waiting for delivery date to arrive. I called the store several times and requested my salesperson to call me back. After 2 days, I also requested the Store Manager to call me. They never did. They have my number on my order and I had NO missed calls and NO voice messages. On my last call the operator told me the Store Manager was first out to lunch then GONE for the day. When I complained to the operator about the inconvenience he told me âWell, you can just cancel your order then.â Just like THAT the Orange store was throwing away a $5,000.00 sale and customer out! Next, I resorted to texting my salesperson (I donât like to text peoples personal phones). She then called me right back. She said she left me voice messages. NOT true. Then she said the Store Manager and she were still in the store the whole time! The operator had LIED to me telling me they were not in. The salesperson then finally connected me with the Store Manager. To my shock, the Store Manager was more rude than anyone else there. Loud, short and condescending. He claimed he also called but he said he NEVER leaves a voice message. WHY NOT?? Letting the customer know you at least attempted a call back is good service. His reply was âthatâs the way I do businessâ. This tells me they never called -thatâs for sure. Next, he asked me what I purchased and what I wanted. Shouldnât he already know what I purchased if he claims he called me and he was with my salesperson when we talking? Shouldnât he had pulled up my order and know what the order was before supposedly calling me back as he said he did? This Store Manager showed zero interest and showed zero effort. I told him I was recording the call for customer service purposes. At which point he said he did not consent and hung up on me. (BTW, I donât need his consent in the State of Connecticut). I will ensure to find an alternate item at another store and I will give a different store or company this sale and the commission. I was even planning on adding a bed to my order or future order as my salesperson fully knows. I will buy a sofa and bed but NOT in Orange R&F. In addition, I will be reaching out to the ceo (initials NG) and the rest of the Executive Team in Liverpool,NY about this store. I know allot of places that would want and...
