I asked the pharmacist to please transfer my prescriptions to their pharmacy, gave the requested information and was told that I would be notified via text when they were or if I would have to pick up the next morning. I had some shopping to do and well over an hour went by without any word from the pharmacy so I went to check personally and found it closed. I was about done with my shopping and started feeling ill so I sat down on an empty part of a shelf. Suddenly I was surrounded by about six employees which included the store manager and security all asking me what I was doing. I told them my situation and was pretty much rushed to finish my business there. They even followed me to the cash register and hovering around and over me making me feel uncomfortable. I made my purchase and went to show my receipt to the representative at the exit and was told that I was ok to go without looking at my receipt. Just as I exited the whole enterage were right there accusing me of not paying for something. I had just paid close to $300 in a rushed shopping experience and again they did not look at my receipt but instead were telling me about a bag that I had not paid for that was in a position that I had overlooked. I was surprised and said that I didn't see it while being rushed and that I had the intention of purchasing it and even offered the money on the spot. However they wanted to make it a federal offense and threatened me with the police. I cooperated to go to the store office and I told them that I felt like they were setting me up. They gained up on me knowing that I was tired and not feeling well, rushed me and made me feel uncomfortable. I told them if they knew about the bag then why didn't anyone say anything about it while I was completing the transaction with a stack of money in my hands. They gave me a warning after I told them about their behavior and bad treatment of me while in a vulnerable state. The next day I still hadn't heard from the pharmacy nor could I get a hold of them via phone so I took three buses back to the other side of Orange county to pick up my prescriptions from the original pharmacy who I also couldn't get a hold of via phone only to find out when I finally got there that my prescriptions were at the Walmart pharmacy so I had to go all the way back. POOR COMMUNICATION, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I feel that Walmart sets up the unsuspecting...
Read moreThe store manager "Frankie" is a very commendable individual. He is a compliment to this store and the Walmart company. I'm an avid Walmart shopper and have never felt disrespected or unsatisfied with my past experiences. That is until the morning of March 23, 2017. I was attempting to do a price match on Aquarium Gravel; in which the vending company had just switched the labeling on the product to a new image. One employee denied me the price match so I requested her supervisor and was greeted by Anthony. Anthony was below sub-par, and went as far as insult my intelligence when I had told him I have worked in the grocery industry before and that the upc numbers match, that the company name matches, and the weight of the item is equivalent. I proceeded to tell him the only thing that has changed was the photo on the bag, and that I had checked with the company prior to make sure the item was the same and not discontinued. When I told him this, he laughed in my face, as if I was making this up, as if to insult my intelligence; which infuriated me. I requested the store manager and that's when Frankie came to assist me. Frankie was very calm, polite, and most of all which I found quite impressive; is he simply allowed me to explain the situation. He then asked to look at the item details on my phone, checked the items details on the bag and approved the price match. Then visibly noticing I was upset, as I asked Anthony to please leave the area as I felt offended by his demeanor. Frankie asked him to walk away and that he would take care of me. After the incident Frankie went up and spoke to Anthony which left me feeling better that he understood my frustrations and that he perhaps was giving him tips on how to better handle the situation in the future. Frankie is the man! He didn't make my experience anymore of a disdain. Matter fact he flipped it upside down. I was going to write to corporate about this unpleasant visit; but if I were to contact them now, it would be to simply praise Frankie. Frankie keep up the good work. You have lots of potential compared to many other Walmart managers or supervisors I have come across. Your work ethic and respect for individuals will take...
Read moreStepping into the Walmart at the Orange Mall is like stepping into a time machine. It's a vestige of a vibrant past, comfortably nested in a somewhat faded mall, yet standing as its strong, beating heart. This place has a unique quietude that transcends the bustling, overwhelming chaos that usually characterizes a typical Walmart experience.
On my recent visit, I found myself struck by an unprecedented sight – an empty customer service counter. Now, as a seasoned Walmart shopper, you can imagine the rareness of this sight. Normally, this area is a hubbub of activity, with a constant flux of customers and busy staff. But on this particular occasion, it was all peace and tranquility.
While the store was quieter than usual, the spacious aisles and neat displays were a breath of fresh air. I did experience a minor hiccup when I found that the item I needed was out of stock, which I suppose is a testament to the popularity of the store's offerings. However, it's worth noting that, aside from that one item, the shelves were generally well-stocked and well-organized, a testament to the efficiency of the staff.
The serenity continued up to the checkout, where I was greeted by several open registers, making the process smooth and efficient. This Walmart definitely wins points for its ease of navigation and lack of waiting times, whether that's due to the time of day, or simply the nature of this particular location.
Overall, despite the hint of nostalgia hanging over the Orange Mall, the Walmart store shines as a beacon of efficiency and tranquility. A seemingly calm oasis amidst the hustle of retail, offering a refreshingly relaxed shopping experience. Remember, they're just a few clicks away online for anything not available in-store.
In a world where every second counts, it's a pleasure to find a store that gives you room to breathe, while still ticking all the boxes of convenience, variety, and accessibility. So, if you're looking for an 'easy in, easy out' shopping experience, Walmart at Orange Mall might just become your new...
