Our book club opted for late brunch for our monthly meet-up. Not a usual spot to host a book club meeting, but we couldn’t turn down pie. Being a Sunday afternoon, the parking lot had ample space, with plenty of seating available. I came in last, but our party of six got a table quite easily with no wait. Their menu is large, classic diner style options with a separate menu just for their desserts. I opted for one of their specials- Brat and Eggs ($13.99) - Menu stated we could choose any bakery item with this choice, but our server said the only thing I could have was their blueberry muffin. I even said I’d pay the difference for a slice of pie. This was probably when I realized service was not going to be great. I had also asked for a Vanilla Cold Brew ($5.29) - specifically asked for it half sweet. Was it? Maybe to their standards? It was way too sweet for me to finish and she didn’t bother to ask how it was after. Tried Banana Cream Pie and their Pumpkin Praline Cheesecake - just overly sweet and artificial tasting with both. Not really impressed with the service or the food here, even for a diner.

Update- We got a craving some sweets and found this banberry pie while scrolling for a dessert. It arrived in this bright fun color box and on time. The pie traveled well and looked beautiful once we opened the box. It was delicious but the cream was a bit gummy for my taste but others really enjoyed it. The food overall was good. The wedge salad and coconut shrimp hit the spot and tasted good, especially the tangy spicy sauce that had a kick. The sourdough cheeseburger was okay but wasn’t hot which made the bread a bit chewy. The fries weren’t hot either.

I ordered their Pasta Primavera which was okay I wish there was more pasta because there are way too many Bell Peppers and other vegetables besides mostly pasta. The Garlic Bread was okay but not the best. I had also tried their Turkey dinner and the Turkey wasn't good at all. I only liked the mashed potatoes and the cranberry sauce in my Turkey dinner dish. Anyway I think they should add more food including pasta dishes to their menu. As for the service it is great as always I just think they need to add more Pasta dishes to their menu.

We had their St. Patrick's Day specials. I had the corned beef and cabbage dinner with boiled red potatoes and carrots. They served it with their pub deli mustard that was out of this world! The corned beef was very good, but i would have liked more of the seasonings. My only real complaint was i wish the serving was larger, so I could take home enough to make a sandwich the next day. The potatoes and carrots tasted like they were cooked with the beef, so they had the wonderful seasonings. The cabbage was done exactly to my liking, still a little crunchy. But it had no seasonings. I added some of the mustard, and that spiced it up. Speaking of the mustard, it was perfect on the corned beef! I will be going back for more before the event ends! All in all, it is worth ordering again. I might even ask for a little extra corned beef.

I cannot forget, our waiter was so excellent!! I told him how much I loved their Mango iced tea and wished I had brought my big glass from the car. The next time he came by, he had a tote with two glasses of tea to go with no ice "so the tea wouldn't get watered down while while we ate." Now, talk about above...

I ordered one whole apple pie and one slice of boysenberry pie through Uber eats. The boysenberry pie was just as thin as a thin crust pizza, seriously. And the apple pie had a consistency of applesauce. What do they make their apple pie from chunky applesauce? And, it had a very weird flavor, too much of a certain spice or ingredient that I can't put my finger on. Left a kind of tingling sensation Not good. Just when you're craving pie, and you have to be disappointed. $30 worth of pie in the trash. That's how bad it was I would not take another slice of the Apple pie.

If I were sitting in the restaurant in ordering a boysenberry pie is this really how you would serve it to me? I doubt it. I'm sick of restaurants taking advantage of uber deliveries and just throwing stuff together because you don't have to face the customer. When I called in to share, you should have offered to have it redelivered on...
