The Olive Pit — Restaurant in Orange

This place is behind and under a little strip mall. It is a perfect cop trap. They can just sit in the strip mall parking lot and see everybody who is coming and going. That said - be careful coming out of here. There is only one entrance and at least half of the times I've been here I have seen a cop at the top on the way out. Haven't been stopped, though.

The bar itself is of the "dark, dive" variety. A mellow place to hang, the regulars are friendly enough. The last time I went the bartender walked in at the same time I did and for whatever reason, she was in her jammies. She never changed into her regular clothes, was way friendly and she had everybody laughing and having a good time.

There is a nice-sized smoking patio. Good place for quiet contemplation while you buzz and have a smoke. Even better if there is a light grey...

The bar welcomes the presence of police in the bar. Female bartender is seeing one of the cops and he comes in to the bar in uniform to hang out with her. If you like drinking around cops that are on duty you might like this bar. Maybe you can get a free ride with the lights on. It was a instant buzz kill for us. We didnt feel safe leaving. Had to call for a ride and went to eat food and come back. Ruined our night. If you go here make sure you only have 1 drink and dont wear anything that might make you suspect for anything. Dont go there in a suspicious vehicle and dont violate any laws or have anything illegal on your car that might get you pulled over on the way out. The good side is the drinks are good and cheap.
