This has taken some time to get to the review here, but it needs to be addressed. A couple months ago I ordered a pizza had some issues with the idea of the way they charge for extra toppings, and was confronted by the young kid working the front counter, very disrespectful and rude. However it does not end there once my roommate arrived to pick up the pizza he too asked about the extra topping charge and asked to speak to a manager as the your kid was rude and disrespectful to him as well. He picked up the phone called the manager who h inturn called the police. Even the police said it was a waste of time and left. Well we spoke to a manager at another location and she seemed to think this was all bad business. Assured us that the owner would return a call on Monday. As I said it's been couple months and still no call. Here is the thing the food is good but I refuse to patronize a local business that not only employes rude and disrespectfully staff, but even the owner does not care enough about his business to try to make things right. Good food aside I won't be treated this way it's easy enough to find good...
Read moreValentino’s is one of those places that just feels right. No frills, no sourdough-rainbow-crust-truffle-oil-explosion nonsense—just solid, classic pizza the way it’s supposed to be. You want a pie that tastes like childhood sleepovers and Friday nights after Little League? This is it.
Now, back in the day, Valentino’s was straight-up cheap. Like, “how are they making money?” kind of cheap. These days? Prices have crept up into that “medium” zone—still fair, but your wallet won’t be high-fiving you on the way out like it used to.
But here’s the thing: the pizza’s still great. Crispy crust, real cheese, flavorful sauce—no shortcuts. It’s one of those rare spots where the taste stayed consistent even as the prices climbed a bit. That’s a win in my book.
Whenever we’re in town, it’s a no-brainer. We swing by, grab a pie, and it’s like hitting the reset button on life for a minute. If you’re into classic, no-nonsense pizza that knows exactly what it is—Valentino’s is calling your...
Read moreLast night we called in to place an order. When I get there the guy at the register (Jason) was trying to charge me extra. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was not there so Jason got on the phone with her. She told him that she was on her way. She never showed up but instead called the cops on me. Three cops interrogated me outside the store in front of all the other customers like a criminal. This was completely unnecessary and humiliating. I hope that the owner (Miguel) reads this and takes some kind of action. By the way, Jason was extremely rude and the manager refused to give me her name. I had to call the Yorba Linda location to get another manager (Maribel) involved. I got a call back from yet another manager from the Chapman location (Gaby) who apologized for the incident and assured me that the owner would get in touch with me.
We've been customers from this location for 19 years and never had an issue before. They just lost...
