Cup & Cone Ice Cream and Boba — Restaurant in Oregon

Really disappointing, especially at their price point. The flavors appeared super promising, and the shop was cute, but there were a lot of problems. For starters, the ice cream was not frozen all the way through. I had to race to east mine because it was practically soft serve consistency when it was handed to me. And not all of the flavors were on the menu. There were some in the case that weren’t on the board. Plus, the waffle cone I paid an extra $1 for was so soft and chewy I was literally able to fold it in half without it breaking. Which means it was either very under baked, or had been sitting out for a very long time.

The ice cream had good flavor, and the customer service was friendly. But if you’re going to charge prices comparable to Salt and Straw, you absolutely need to perfect the details. We may give it another shot at some point, but today’s visit was...

I was really looking forward to trying this place because I'm a bit of a boba fanatic and it has such good reviews. Sadly it's not great.

Boba: the tapioca pearls have nice flavor but the texture is much too soft and mushy for me. The main issue though is the flavor--the chai was really weird tasting and astringent and the milk tea was a bit watery. Both were ridiculously sweet-- I totally forgot to ask for reduced sweetness like I do at most boba places, but they didn't mention sweetness levels on the menu so I'm not sure it is even an option.

Ice cream: I got the donut sandwich. The ice cream was very nice and creamy but the donut itself was terrible. Really dry, stale, and flavorless. Not happy that I paid $7 for a bad donut and like a quarter cup...

I was excited to try their honey lavender ice cream. I got very disappointed as it barely tasted like honey lavender. I could taste a little bit of lavender and no honey. The cake batter ice cream is way too sweet. I also got the strawberry milk bubble tea and it didn’t have a strong flavor, it was a very weak strawberry taste. The boba didn’t have any flavor to them at all. If you want honey lavender ice cream I would prefer to go to Salt & Straw, because their honey lavender is perfect!
